I went to the cracker barrel in St Mary's county there's a waitress her name is Beth let me tell you this woman is heaven sent!... She is very patient and understanding when it comes to allergies you have to ask for her when you come here. My wife and I are regular patrons of Cracker Barrel. One of our favorite places to each breakfast at. But today my brothers and... I went in for dinner. We ordered chicken and dumplings. Not sure what the dumplings were because they were flat pieces oftasteless mush. Absolutely the worst! Somebody at Cracker Barrel has to be aware that dumping should be breaded inside whencooked correctly. I don?t believe the dumplings we were served were cooked incorrectly by the cooks but were cooked as theyintended them to be. I hope someone would revisit the process for how Cracker Barrel is cooking their dumplings and find anacceptable edible recipe to replace what they are currently doing. Read more

We are regular diners at the Cracker Barrel in California, MD and since we didn?t have our kids or grandkids this Thanksgiving,... I thought I would treat my wife to what we thought would be a GREAT Thanksgiving dinner! We went to dinner at around 3pm andwere seated almost immediately! We had a wonderful waitress who took great care of us and my wife ordered the turkey dinner butwas extremely disappointed ???? the worse meal that we have experienced at Cracker Barrel. One slice of turkey and gravy and nosubstitutions for the other sides were allowed. The sweet potato pie was mushy at best, the corn bread stuffing was covered withgravy with onions. The breakfast food was plentiful. I don't go out for breakfast often so when I go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, it's... country fried steak and eggs. We were seated right away the service was punctual, a great balance of server interaction. Mywife shopped too long in the gift shop, need to work on that! Highly recommend Cracker Barrel. Read more

Overall the food is decent. The only down side was being seated at a noticeably dirty table. The hostess should have but didn?t... acknowledge this and had to be asked to clean the table. Aside from this one negative the rest of our experience was positive.This is the first time in 8 years and 3 states I can post an overall positive experience at a Cracker Barrel Read more
