The most spectacular architectural feat in the Valley IMO. It is hard to explain how impressive this place is. 30 years of... planning and executing. Magnificent. We went on a Monday and the place was packed. As much a place for a quick 45 minute winetasting as it is to pick up gifts for friends and family. And oh yeah, buy as many bottles of the Red Fantasia as you can. Thatstuff is special and fairly priced. Great place to visit!! Read more

Do not mistake this place as just another castle, for it also houses an amazing winery where you can opt for wine tastings... and/or guided tours. Choose your wine from a list where the dominant notes are explained and pick up your bottle form theenchanting gift shop where you can also pick up other souvenirs such as soaps, jellies, and accessories, amongst others. Theyalso have private rooms for tastings that you can opt from. As for the castle, pickup a map and explore for every spot has abarcode that you can scan to listen to the history! Enjoy the view of the hills, and explore the armory and the chapel as well.Last, but not the least, as you walk past the gates, say hello to some adorable farm animals who are forever ready to greet you! Our wine tasting table had no views of the countryside, something we probably would of taken into account when booking. You?re... shut away at the back of the castle with no scenery. Tamas was great and really engaged with us during the wine tasting. Theentrance to the winery is impressive but you only get to enjoy at that moment as the rest of the tasting is, as mentioned above. You can enjoy the rest of the greenery only on your exit. Read more

It was my first time visiting this winery and I was happy I did. I did the guided tour which lasted about 2 hours and enjoyed... most of their wines during the tasting. There?s a lot to see and appreciate. The production is much larger than I realized. Thewine was great and so was our tour guide. You can also do a self guided tour as well. Read more

I loved the castle experience! Having never traveled to Europe the fairytale lover inside of me was jumping with glee. We... purchased the self guided/standing tasting for $50. We drank our wines quickly and then set off to explore the castle andgrounds. If I was going to rate the wine I?d give it 3 stars, The Castle 5 stars and the service 3 stars. Our wine server waspolite and friendly he just lacked enthusiasm. It was as if he knew the wines weren?t that great and that the best thing aboutThe Castle of Love was the building itself and not the wine. The most expensive wines are delicious ($100 a bottle) but thecheaper wines, (anything less than $100) are meh. People who payed to sit and taste wine waited a long time to sit in thecourtyard, bake in the sun, and drink marginal wines. I highly recommend the $50 route. They take you down to the cool cellarwith fans blowing to sip your wine. You have to stand the entire time but you don?t get heat stroke. The $7 chocolate additionwas totally worth it in my opinion. 3 delicious fancy chocolates in a lovely gift box. Even if you don?t eat the chocolates onsite it makes a lovely souvenir. Read more

This place was absolutely stunning. The architecture and history behind the castle is incredible. The location is stunningly... beautiful and the experience at this winery was superb. I highly recommend taking the Diamond Estate Tour & Reserve Wine Tastingand add the chocolate tasting. Also, I highly recommend requesting to have the tour with Amy as she is an impressively amazingtour guide that makes the experience even better. The wine tasting is excellent and worth experiencing. We definitely plan toreturn again to enjoy this winery. Read more

Thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting! Our host was very knowledgeable and had excellent recommendations. The chocolates were... very tasty. Love the charm of the castle - looks a lot like the real thing in Europe. They have ?aged? it nicely. I alsoenjoyed the little barn yard with an assortment of animals on the way out. Read more

This is the best wine tasting experience that I have ever had and thanks to our host Grace. We really enjoyed our experience.... She was very knowledgeable, patient, fun and made us truly comfortable. They have a wide variety of wine for all kinds of winelovers from sweet to semi dry to dry. We ended is buying quite a lot of bottles cause it?s really good. The best part is theyhave home delivery at reasonable cost. Don?t forget to try their grape juice in between the wine cause it?s too good. The castleitself is very beautiful. You can opt for a group guided tour or self guided. They have wine tasting in a closed room and inopen space too. But you are not allowed to get up in between the tasting to roam around in the castle. Plan your visit foraround 3-4 hours cause you will take that much of time to enjoy the tasting and then explore the castle. Lot of picture perfectspots which you don?t wanna miss. It?s a busy place, so plan your visit. Definitely a must visit winery in napa. Read more
