Great great unexpected meal here. Only reason unexpected was because it was the only night we did not have reservations for 7... of us and we just drove into town at 8:00. They sat us quickly and we had great service. Food was awseom top to bottom. Imissed taking a picture of the pizza but it was the best most of us have had. The amount of appitizers we had was great for ourgroup and we loved them all. Dessert was out of this world as well. Possibly due to the good wine they served caused us toorder 5 of them but we all walked away full and happy. Great place when in Calistoga. Read more
The food was ridiculously overpriced for the alleged “family style” sizes served. The server at this establishment failed to... mention that the waters served to my table cost money. My group paid $20 for STILL WATER! This wouldn’t have been a problem ifthe server had enlightened us at the beginning of service of the price, but she did not, and there was no menu either thatstated this cost. Furthermore, the food served was the farthest from authentic Italian food I’ve had in a long time, with theFocaccia bread served being more akin to toasted Wonder Bread smothered in oil and Parmesan. The Brussel Sprouts my friend wasserved that cost $15 was quite literally just microwaved lettuce served on a plate with some salt and pepper.\n\nIn addition,the tables provided to my party of six was too small for all of our food, having packed us in to a very small part of the room.The seats attached to the wall where we were sitting barley were big enough for a person to sit on.\n\nIf you want actual goodItalian food that provides a good service, then Mangia Mi is not the restaurant you’re looking for.\n\nEdit: Hello Mangia MiManagement! Telling our group to “grow up a little” and “eat at olive garden” is extremely disrespectful andcondescending. Yes, we are college students and therefore that is why we were surprised we had to pay $20 for water when weasked for tap. Their blackboard menu features a mix of dishes prepared from fresh, local ingredients. Our favorite was their shrimp which was... tender and paired with a gentle garlic lemon sauce. The service was attentive and the ambiance friendly. Only downside was thefamily style tables were a bit close together, resulting in a loud room.
