Truly magical place where the staff was amazingly knowledgeable and lovely (from the check in girl, the restaurant staff,... hostess) and the tasteful rooms and grounds?everything we needed/wanted. Flawless and can?t wait to return. Read more

I have never stayed at the hotel but have dined in their restaurant which is open to the public. The food is fantastic and the... ambiance is great! A really cool stop if you are in the area. Even if you just stop for a drink its worth it. Read more

Amazing food and really beautiful property. Stayed in the pool house and slept in the most comfortable bed ever. The bathroom... layout was a bit odd but the room furniture is super cute. The walls are also quite thin so you can hear pretty much everythingbut I think they?re aware because of the sound machine by the bed. That was helpful for sure! Overall it was a perfect fallgetaway and would def come back. Read more

Where do I even start with Callicoon Hills? If I could give them a thousand out of five stars I would. My husband and I met the... Callicoon team way back in February of 2020 while we were hunting for a wedding venue. Flash forward almost 3 years and we justgot married there this past weekend. We had the absolute wedding of our dreams thanks to the team at Callicoon. From Jess andEli to the Chef to the front desk and in house staff, it was INCREDIBLE from beginning to end. The food is amazing, the serviceand general vibe of the staff (from the management to the bartenders to the food service staff) is just everything you couldwant from a weekend in the Catskills, and the professionalism for a relatively new team is off the charts. I can't say enoughamazing things about this place. It's forever a special place in our hearts and we will be back for our anniversary each year.We love you, Callicoon Hills!!!!! Read more

The fellow who labeled this "quasi-glamping" was spot on. We had a wonderful time, but it's more of a dressed-up lodge than a... resort. A few notes and suggestions: The property: is beautiful and well-maintained. My kids loved roaming from the pool to thegame shed to the game room to the fire pit. The main house is beautiful with many nooks to relax, play games, read, etc. Poolhouse Rooms: are small and, as is increasingly the case in these times, force visitors to endure farmhouse slidingdoors to the bathroom. These neither suppress noise nor, for that matter, open and close all that easily (there's no handle onthe interior. Please fix this, somebody). All in all our room was very tastefully designed, but quite dim. Ironically, the lightfrom the breezeway bleeds past the cheap pull down vinyl blinds at night, leaving the room fairly illuminated while sleeping.Curtains of some kind would be great. The pool: freezing. We picked this location largely for the pool but watched all weekendas groups of children excitedly ran into the pool and then quickly exited, shivering. This was labor day weekend, mind you, whena summer's worth of heat should have had some impact. My kids braved it for a bit, and the deck area was a fun hang, but bewarned. Some heating element is needed. Services: The bar/cafe/coffee shop also doubles as the check in desk. At peak times(happy hour/check in) there's a wait. Could some kind of bar shed be placed in the pool on weekends? Oh, how I would have lovedto order my Breadwinner IPA without shlepping across the property and waiting in line. I'll pay extra. Please. Restaurant:Delicious, beautiful, fantastic. Staff: So nice. Location: Pretty obscure. If you're mostly familiar with the Ulster county-Woodstock-Phoenicia area, as we were, this is not that. This is an area of working farms and lacks some of the charm of theformer. One does need to drive to neighboring towns for restaurants and breweries although within 20 minutes ther Read more

Tiny but tasteful rooms and a fantastic restaurant. However, it's a chaotic quasi-glamping environment with lots of noise. ... Seems especially popular with millennials, their children, and their dogs. Though this part of the Catskills is quite beautiful, the hotel is kind of lodged in the middle of nowhere, although it's reasonably close to the Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center. Read more

My favorite little gem, love to escape city and stay at Callicoon hills. Staff is super nice and have high standards of service,... food is locally sourced. The food at the restaurant is amazing and fresh, they do seasonal menu and every time I come I trydifferent dishes. You can grab a yoga mat go across the hotel to the pond and meditate in the morning, or just take a walk andenjoy the nature. Rooms are super clean and have everything you need. Love attention to details at this place as well. It?s mythird time here and I know I?ll be coming back for sure. Read more

The rooms are VERY small, but the bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Plus, the restaurant served wonderful... food. Our only real complaint is that the hotel used a really nauseating scent in the halls that smelled like cheap cologne. Also, you should know that the environment is a bit chaotic. Lots of children running around and music playing. Of coursethere's nothing wrong with this, but if you're looking for a quiet get-away, this is not the place. Read more
