Athena's Restaurant presents a warm, cozy, and family oriented dining environment. They seem to specialize in the preparation of... breakfast and lunch. They have a constant flow of people on the weekends. All the food is prepared to order and arrives to yourtable hot and fresh. Their portions are enough for two. There will certainly be leftovers ???? for later. I never order gritsfor breakfast when dining out. I like mines, salted, creamy, buttery, and with cheese. I took a chance after looking over onsomeone else table. I was surprised. I was able to add salt, butter, and cheese which reminded me of my own. I ordered scrambledeggs, chop steak, and Greek toast. If I could I would give zero Stars this place was great before the new owners took over. I ordered a great skillet there wasn't... even 1 oz of meat on the skillet. Grabbed 3 all meat skillets for $42 just to get 3 eggs each with some meat and underneath is just a load of pretty much mashed... potatoes. My pops has been going here for 35 years and he aint never get no garbage food like this so dissapointing Read more

Bill White, my father passed away at age 86 the night before Thanksgiving. He wanted to be early for the banquet in eternity... with those he loved who preceded him in death. My dad was a faithful customer for many years, often sitting at the counter andenjoying his meals, including his special with tropical fruit while wearing his Teamsters Jacket. His dry humor and wit will bemissed. Here is a photo of him as a younger man, where he volunteered to keep the community safe after a long day on the roadas a local haul teamster.
