This is one of my favorite places for a local burger. The food is always hot and made to order. The burgers are good!
My band had been traveling the area, and we had a taste for fresh burgers. However, we wished we had worked more gigs because... Schoop's is stadium level money and not corner bar money. I ordered a burger and a large fry (keep in mind they don't have mealsthese were separate) and my bill was at 15 dollars. While the burger is handmade and delicious, the fries were nothingspecial..."Freezer fries" if you will. I dined out and the wait was a little over 5 minutes. One of my long standing favorites while in South Chicago area. I had a small dinner salad, grilled cheese sandwich, Irish French... fries, and a chocolate milk shake on my last stop. I initially stopped in just to get a chocolate milk shake to enjoy whiledriving but I was I decided it was a good good for me to take a 45 min break before my next 5 hours on the road. A great little burger joint. Schoop's has some of the best burgers around, far superior to a typical commodity fast food burger.... They also have cheese fries with scallions and bacon called "Irish nachos." Five stars! Read more
