First time coming here. Was reading reviews from Harold's and made quick detour here. I'm not from Chicago I travel back and... forth for work. Not mad at my decision at all. Food was plentiful and good. Catfish nuggets, wings, fries and spaghetti. Itain't black people spaghetti. Nothing fancy about is what I mean to my non black readers????????????. It lasted me for my 12hour workday and I didn't get sick at all. Tasted good, price wasn't terrible and I felt safe in there. Read more
One of my favorite places to eat when I visit home. Cooked just the way I like it.
Awesome customer service. Their fish which is what I eat from there is always fresh. And I really do love that they give you... perch with four pieces with a small order. A lot of places only give you three and purchase really small anyway I really do likethat part. They have their own parking lot when they are conveniently right off of the expressway right at 127th and Ashland. Idefinitely give J & J Fish & Chicken my seal of approval. Read more
I had the catfish steaks and fries, the fish was fried perfect but unfortunately it didn't have any seasoning. My husband had a... shrimp dinner and it was so good! The shrimp was cooked perfect favor was phenomenal some of the best shrimp I've had. If theyseasoning the fish like the shrimp it would be 5 ? but still fresh and hot. J&J Fish is the place to go for a hearty quick bite. I ordered the wings which you can never go wrong with the wings. I call... ahead due to it being crowded especially in the evenings. I ordered the 20 wing special which was ready in about 20 mins. Themenu is delightful because they have a decent amount of food items that for the most part looks, smells and taste good...so ifyou have a taste for something greasy, heart wrenching, unhealthy but yet delicious...you can't go wrong with J&J fish Read more
I simply asked for lemon pepper and he out so much it was inedible... the fish was fried too hard and the coating was thick...... almost like it had been refried. I've never been here before and I'll never go back. Food went in the garbage. Read more
If you need food after 8p this might be the place for you. You kind of have to ask for lemon pepper or you won't get it and it... will not be offered. They will give you cole slaw but you have to ask. Read more
