Cute little establishment with country charm. Waitress was sweet & made sure my needs were met. Food was ehh, ok. I got country... fried steak, it came with two sides. The potatoes were not great tasting, brown gravy on them was obviously made from a mix orbag, not homemade. Country fried steak was thin like paper, no flavor & the white gravy also looked & tasted like it was from abag. There was no love coming from that kitchen that was shown in the food. I went for breakfast, but got there too late so hadto have lunch. Was so unimpressed with lunch, ill just ho ahead & pass on trying breakfast. Read more

Great omelette and pretty good B&G. French toast really good too. Liked the iced tea and decaf coffee which isn?t always easy to... find. Erin was a fun and helpful server. Lots of friendly locals too. The daily lunch specials looked really good making usthink we need to stop for lunch next time we?re through this area! Read more

Food was okay at best , and since they are the only Diner around, then I guess a lot of people would go there because it's all... they have. Read more

We live about an hour from Calvert Cafe, but any chance we get to drive there and have breakfast, we take it. We camp in the... area and it?s definitely one of the highlights of our adventures. Always friendly service, always good food, and some of thebest prices for eating out that I?ve seen in a while. Read more

Everything we have eaten here has been delicious. My husband usually gets the catfish. I get their cheeseburger or Philly... cheesesteak. Read more

WHAT A JOY! The staff and other customers treated us like home folks! We ate a fabulous breakfast! The omelets were packed full!... Just a wonderful place to eat! Our western omelets were $8.99 and came with biscuits and gravy! Update: we came back forbreakfast the next day! I added photos of the breakfast menu! Read more

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. For starters I work at one of the plants right up the road from the Cafe. I... work 12-16 hr swings and sometimes after a long night of getting my butt handed to me at work, I'll stop by the Cafe todecompress and have breakfast. I swear they probably call me the french toast man because all I get is 2-3 orders of frenchtoast, an order of bacon and some OJ. The staff is always super friendly though and gives me my space. It's the perfect setting. You can sit in there to be alone, without feeling to lonely. They have regulars other than myself that are often talking aboutregular things. The staff is always bubbly and full of life, enough to light up your day after a long day or night at work. Iusually only order the french toast not because nothing else on the menu looks good but because the way they make them, takes meback to my childhood when my mom used to make them for me as a kid. Every bite is just warm and fluffy and they remind me of atime in life when things and the world were a lot less hectic. I'd highly suggest this place if you're in town and looking for anice little local place to eat at. Read more
