Favorite sub sandwich ever We first visited this sub shop last year on a trip back from seeing the tulips in Skagit Valley. Keep... in mind that my first choice of a meal would not be a sub sandwich. However, the Sub Joint is so amazing that I have thoughtabout it for a year and planned our trip around another stop. On our way back from the tulips, we missed the exit for CamanoIsland. Although we had driven 15 miles beyond the exit, I told my husband I was not missing out on a sub from the sub joint. So we turned around and drove to Camano Island with the sole purpose of getting a sub sandwich. We were both famished when wearrived so I didn?t take time for photos, but suffice it to say, the Italian sub and Turkey sub were loaded with mountains ofhigh quality meats and vegetables on the most generous soft freshly made bread? it absolutely met my expectations yet again andI will return. I have never thought of a sub shop as a destination restaurant, but this one absolutely is? don?t miss out! Read more

Love that they bake their bread fresh daily and thought it had just the right amount of chew to complement the sandwich... fillings. The full sandwich easily was two whole servings -- got the Italian (advised it was the most popular item) and theveggie. Didn't mind the lack of cheese as I was trying to be "healthier" but the Italian was also packed with flavor. Good placeto stop to fuel or refuel when hiking in the area! Burgers inside at the Baked Cafe for greasier (read: delicious) fare also. Read more

I went to eat recently at the Sub Joint and the portions are very generous. I loved the Tomato Basil Soup. Definitely a cut... above your normal subs and convenient on the way home from Whidbey Island. Read more

Very disappointed. Bread was under baked on both subs I ordered. The veggie doesn?t even come with cheese, it?s $1.50 extra.... Seriously? No option for avocado? The Italian had a good amount of filling, but was very soggy and the under baked bread didn?thelp this. Service was OK. Read more
