Many years ago there was a very known Thai Restaurant in North Hollywood across from North Hollywood high school that we use to... visit weekly, it was considered the best in the city but we moved away and the restaurant changed owners so for the last 25years we have been searching for great Thai food locally and "Thai Peru Restaurant" in Camarillo is it. The food is fresh,delivered hot, good size portions and most importantly delicious. We ordered Gyoza chicken pot stickers, Empanadas Fried Rice,and Pad Thai, it was amazing!!!!! Their pad Thai tastes like ketchup, which is a common substitute for tamarind. Their food is mostly fine though.

I give this restaurant 5 stars alone on Thai food. But I take away 1.5 stars for the way they mislead the customer on their... pricing. They don't tell you that it's extra for protein. This is odd bc most Thai dishes have protein- it's rare they have onlyvegetable. So for my pad prik king- which is just green beans and (usually served with) pork- it is priced on the menu for like$12.99 but then you get an added charge of $2 for the pork. This was like this for the pad Thai as well. I understand chargingmaybe a dollar more for pricier proteins like shrimp but to not already have basic proteins like chicken beef and pork alreadyincluded in the price is absurd. Im never going to order pad prik king without protein bc then it would just be green beans. Whoorders that with just the beans? Also another half star off for their lack of servers. It seems like there is just one lady whotakes your order etc so it took forever to get our order in and also get the check. I really did enjoy the food here. Probablyone of the better and authentic Thai restaurants in Ventura county but the way they charge for their dishes leaves a bad tastein my mouth. We might be back one day. Read more

Thai Peru always has great service! Our favorite dishes are Pad See Ew and Pad Thai with any of their protein options! They have... a wide array of options to choose from for everyone! We just moved to Camarillo a few weeks ago. We've been here 3 times!!! The food has been consistently good in both Thai and... Peruvian food. We love this option of difference cuisines, both we really enjoy! What we ordered a few times and really liked isthe Tom Kha soup, pineapple fried rice, and yellow curry.
