Original in 2016 review: My favorite Chinese lunch buffet place! Great tasting and I get to pick what I want. I don't go as... often because I overeat there. LOL They have a great salad bar too. Update 11/22, Due to COVID closures, the buffet is gone.???? I wish I knew what I ate in it. I plan on going soon and reliving great food with my grandsons that I used to take for thebuffet. Seaseme chicken was not good... Soup seemed overcooked and vegetables were too heavy with celery
I have grown up eating here. I moved about an hour away a few years ago and stop by whenever I’m passing through. Over the... years it’s went down a bit but it’s still amazing. Last time I stopped in all the windows looked like they haven’t beenwindexed in a week or more that’s just an example, they could definitely do better keeping up with the little things. Ourserver was very kind and attentive but not over attentive. My friend and I devoured the egg flour soup, I’ve never had anybetter than here. Keep up the great food! Great service! Read more
We went to Chinese Garden for our Parkersville Heritage Foundation mtg 5 members total. I love their Senior discount BBQ Pork... Noodles $10.50 , I was treated by one of the members. Friendly and Courtesy staff, hot tea free. Why I say that a Chinese placein Vancouver charges $2.50 for a pot of tea. Reservations for one of the large round tables worked out well. This is where wewill be having our meetings and dinners. Oh of course forgot to take photos, next time. other members had the house special, raved about it...looked like fried shrimp, pork chow mein and a sweet and sour pork , rice. ???? Read more
Ordered beef lo mein and pork fried rice for take out, cost just over $25 for a rice container and a normal take out container.... The pork fried rice was just fried rice " nothing in it/ no flavor" and a handful of cubed dryed out pork slapped on the top....Not even mixed / or cooked together. The beef lo mein was like 5 small thin slices of beef and the same of celery and a pile ofnoodles that look like they just got strained from a "cup o noodles" from the store. No sauce / no flavor! I've eaten in the restaurant once, and had to-go once. Both times the food and service were absolutely excellent. We'll be back,... many times, especially since we live nearby. Lucky us! Read more
