I like it here a lot. Very nice atmosphere for drinks with friends and able to talk at a normal volume. Drinks are reasonably... priced. Convenient location off central sq. The bartenders are very nice and helpful with picking drinks. The only caveat isit?s quite dark and buzzy so more for a younger demographic. Read more

Good cocktails and fun vibe, but we did have to wait a while to be attended. See we're seated rather quickly, but not attended... for quite a while. Would come back for more cocktails though. Read more

Good, somewhat hidden bar. Menu is small, drinks are creative, and food was decent. I?d recommend if you want a unique, louder... atmosphere, trendy place to grab drinks with friends. Read more

Pretty great place. Not a lot of room inside though, so wait times are always super long, which is a bummer. Music inside is... super loud, so unless you are sitting right next to someone, it is really difficult to hear what the other person issaying. Lots of cocktails and other drinks options. No food option is a bummer for me. The location isn't that easy to find. You access the place through a staircase which is kinda hidden between two buildings. Read more

My friends and I come here pretty frequently--the drinks are great, the space is nice, and it's not too loud to have a... conversation. The staff have always been lovely, but last night I realized how great they actually are. TLDR: Brick and Mortarcares about the safety of its woman-identifying patrons, and is a trustworthy, safe place to go out. None of my friends or Ihave ever been so much as approached by men at Brick and Mortar (it's not really that kind of bar), but last night, there weretwo guys there who were bothering us and making some of my friends uncomfortable. I approached the waiter and let them know whatwas going on. Right away, two other employees (one might have been the manager) plus our waiter discretely chatted amongstthemselves, approached the men, and quietly and kindly let them know they might want to move to a different area in the bar. Thetwo men left us alone after that (and left shortly thereafter), and all three staff members checked in on us. It was absolutelywonderful, and meant a lot to all of us. Thanks, Brick and Mortar! Nice find! Small menu but it?s a nice little spot to pop in before dinner. I?m used to a speak-easy not having any worthwhile... food and so it was a pleasant surprise to find they had oysters and poutine. I enjoyed the tiki style drink I had, Dr No. Read more
