The food was great, and each portions were absolutely huge. We definitely did not neeed three dishes for two people. Only thing... to note was that, we didn't really know much about each menu so we ended up with three non-sauchy menus, which wasn't quite easyto eat with the rice. But that's on us for not knowing various chinese menus, and we'll definitely come back to try other menusout. Read more

Pretty great food and wonderful place for a get together. It’s definitely helpful if a native speaker is in the group. The... staff were friendly, but didn’t check on us frequently. I highly recommend the spicy fish and the eggplant dish, they wereamazing! Read more

One of my Taiwanese friends recommended this place, and this place was awesome! It feels like very authentic Taiwanese food.... Very delicious and the portions are so big too! And the food came out very fast. We had Mu Lan fish, Salt & Pepper Pork,Watercress, and Moo Shi Pork. We liked everything, especially Mu Lan Fish, Sal & Pepper Pork and Watercress. This is a Taiwanese restaurant with great food and lots of seating options, meaning it’s easy to take a large group here if... you make a reservation. The food is delicious and comes out quickly. There are many options for veggies, seafood, meat, andothers. There are foods of varying spice levels for different spice tolerances. Some of the rooms have tables that spin so foodis easily shared amongst larger groups. Try the Mu Lan fish if you come! Read more

I went to Mu Lan with a group of 5 so we were able to try a lot of dishes. We selected from the recommended dishes. Overall I... was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes but am not sold on all of their flavors. Crispy chicken in chili garlic sauce:get this! It's a lot of chicken and it's definitely crunchy. I prefer the flavor of Chongqing dry chili chicken from otherrestaurants, but it's hard to beat the chicken to pepper ratio in this dish. Pork with bamboo shoots: This is a big mound ofpork and bamboo! The pork is tender and the bamboo is plentiful. There was a weird sour taste that I think came from the bamboo. The first few bites were really good (A+ texture) but the sourness got to me after a bit. Shrimp with bean curd: the bean curdsheets are extremely smooth and hot and delicious. The sauce is a pretty typical white sauce and pairs well with the dish. Ithink this dish should be called bean curd with shrimp because there was not much shrimp (especially considering the price).Luckily I love tofu sheets so I still enjoyed this. Taiwanese pan fried noodles with pork: Unremarkable, tastes like chowmein. Eggplant with basil: The eggplant was a bit too soft for me and it was sweet with no spice despite having the peppersymbol next to it. Definitely my least favorite of the 5. Overall I really liked the crispy chicken and enjoyed trying theirofferings. As it stands I would go to 5 spices or Dumpling House over Mu Lan but I hope to get to try more of their dishes inthe future! The serving sizes were larger than expected and they had a lot of items on the menu. Read more

The Taiwanese food here at Mu Lan is wonderful. We ordered braised pork shin in brown sauce, salty crispy chicken, sautéed... Chinese squash, sliced lamb with scallion, assorted noodle soup, whole fish with Taiwanese sauce, stir fried rice cake with porkand mustard greens, shredded pork with dry bean curd, cuttlefish dumplings, and salt and pepper pork chops. We enjoyedeverything we ordered, and the service was extremely quick. We would definitely come back to Cambridge and eat here! Read more
