I am a regular at this Peet's location and have always enjoyed sitting for a while as I drank my coffee and took care of some... work. Unfortunately, I have witnessed an employee (Chip) of the location behave in a blatantly racist manner towards Asiancustomers on multiple occasions. He constantly treats them as if they cannot speak or understand English, and as if they aresomehow dumb for it. Yesterday, however, I witnessed him refer to an Asian woman as "A Peet's Name," implying not only thatAsian individuals all have "weird," "foreign" names that must be Americanized in order to receive service, but also that it isacceptable to use the phrase "Peet's Name" as a proper noun for an Asian person. I submitted a complaint on the Peet's websiteand received multiple responses assuring me that the issue would be dealt with, but today the same manager was at the counteragain, working as if nothing had happened. The fact that he did not face so much as a suspension, especially given his historyof treating Asian customers as an inconvenience to him, is absolutely abhorrent to me. As someone who is mixed race Asian, Iabsolutely cannot continue to give my money to Peet's, an establishment that takes no actions to hold bigots accountable, and infact continues to employ them, creating an unsafe environment for all. Patrick at Peet's in Harvard Square: What a great employee! I want to thank Patrick for his dedication to his clients and his... excellent carefully-crafted coffee. Among the cafes in the area, Peet's is my favorite and became my go-to cafe, and that isentirely due to Patrick's welcoming service. Read more

chip and how do you know what chip .. the warrior man. The man who conquered all nationalities in this state that calls for... freedom and equality.. the state that equalizes people. Chip, who destroyed everything that the state of humanity has done, theancient United States, a country of respect, literature and culture.. for a piece of bread or coffee that a person can drink inhis home.. you pay money from your free money, so someone comes as a chip who tells you that he is the one who paid the moneyand that he is the kind and that he is not Coffee in all states other than me. I don't know where to run this shop. If somepeople do not write, it is politeness and respect that they have. I saw him yesterday politely with a person with tall muscles.Because he knows that if he misbehaves with him, he would make him sweep the floor with his tongue. Read more

With closing of the big Starbucks beside main Harvard subway entrance, this is now the most pleasant, comfortable, & convenient... cafe in the Square. (Tatte is usually jammed & feels rushed, even crazed.) Patio's has few but large tables. It's roomy & righton a park. Inside seating's pretty good w/large windows on 3 sides. I enjoy the lattés & frozen (blended ice) coffee drinks.Pastries are OK. Read more

My oat milk latte was chunky and chalky, unlike anything I?ve ever had. It?s awesome that they offer a large size for coffee,... which comes in handy when you?re in such a busy city! The barista was so friendly, and she was so crazily overworked, as it is avery busy location. They use the terrible Pacific Foods brand for their oat milk, unlike the Oatly brand that the much-bettercoffeeshops use. There?s no vegan food or pastries. Nearby Pavement Coffee is significantly better. Read more
