Molto Benne!! Cozy and homey with a couple of charming Gents taking care of the patrons at a quiet time pre-dinner time! The... spaghetti is cooked just right and the sauce is not over powering tomato tasting. I hardly ever choose not to add black pepper(lots) or hot sauce to offset the tomato sauce; today I didn't need any! Servings are big for what we normally have, huge menu,and prices good too! I can't attest to the other food items but the pizza was the worst I've ever had in New England before. Seafood wasn't much... better. These days they also claim to be a "bar" but they don't even have any beer on draft. Overall, if you're the kind ofperson who likes to avoid bad-tasting food then I recommend avoiding this place. Stayed at the Doubletree in Cambridge in June, 2022. Easy walk to the restaurant—maybe 3-4 blocks away-less than 5 minutes..... We got the large pepperoni pizza—it was fantastic. Great cheese, great pepperoni, great crust. Took some back to the hotel asit was too much to eat. Also, got 2 pieces of the chocolate cake to go. Very good as well. Would highly recommend both. Agentleman in the restaurant recommended seafood the next time we come back. May give that a try tomorrow. Read more
You want wholesome quality comfort food, and competent customer service? What are you waiting for , come to this place. Bomb... pizza, burgers and fries…. And who knows what else! They have a pretty decent menu to choose from. Plus there is a bar nextdoor where you can get beer/liquor and bring it over to enjoy your food. Nicely lit and warm. Read more
I usually judge the taste of pizza by its base which I didn't like.. sauce was good... Cheese was average... Wanted to try it... for a while as it had a good rating but even if you check out the other reviews very few people are talking about pizzas butmore about other menu items.. Read more
This is an unassuming establishment that I walk past on a weekly basis. I finally made it a point to try it out. I ordered a... pick up order over the phone, since I really wanted a fried clam plate, but it wasn't an option on their internet orderingplatform. The pickup process was pretty smooth, I was given an order number over the phone but didn't even need to use it when Ipicked up my food. The interior of the restaurant itself wasn't anything flashy, it probably had more of a old diner cafeteriatype vibe. There were a few tables outside as well. I got the fried clam plate, fried calamari plate, and a Greek salad. Thefried clam plate is market priced. There was a generous portion of fried clam bellies and they were pretty sizable too. Thecalamari was really tender and also served in a generous portion. The fries that came with the fried seafood were really good,they had an extra crispy coating. These two orders also came with some tartar sauce and cole slaw. Overall, food was great andthe portions were generous. Would return for more take out but probably not for dining in. Read more
Great neighboorhood bar/restaurant with welcoming staff. We visited 4 times during our November stay in Cambridge and began to... feel like family. Our server even gave us some of her homemade brownies. Nothing fancy, but the pizza and gyros very very good,seafood fresh and prices reasonable. Read more
