Sat down at a practically empty bar and I felt like I was a ghost. Sitting there with no food or drink for quite a while as... they went back & forth. I had to acknowledge my presence and interrupt a server, the nerve of those customers! I almost leftbut I was on travel, it was late, I had to walk to get there, and I was hungry. There were at least three or four serversattending to other people and they had to of seen me. However, I had the Bluefish and it was really good. The bluefish itselfwas cooked perfectly and they added some spices that crept onto the rice and vegetables that made for a great taste. I haven'thad Bluefish in decades so I was really amazed how good it was prepared. Getting service for another beer was also like pullingteeth. If the food was so-so I would of dropped the review to a two star. I hope it was just an off night for the crew. Ithink it was, they just didn't look very happy so I wasn't cheap on the tip, it happens, but still.... Read more

Food was wonderful. A bit pricey, however it was good. Server was very friendly and on top of his game. Didn't have to wait long... for food, always a plus. Recommend having the lobster roll. Delicious!!! I opted for the surf and turf. Read more

I've been to the Summer Shack (Mohegan Sun) and Summer Shack (Cambridge, MA) and idk how I feel about it. The food in Cambridge... is really good and great quality but the staffing is impersonal and very flat. I felt like an inconvenience. I don't feelsatisfied with any Summer Shack I feel like it's a company wide issue. They don't know how to adequately treatcustomers. Failed to ask me what kind of dressing I wanted for my salad. Just threw my receipt on the table after I was done.No warmth at all. Read more

I want to first say Thank You for the amazing experience! My girlfriend recommended this place which I’ve driven by so many... times but have never gone in. Some nice features is that they are located across from Alewife Station which gives access to theredline. It also is located right at the start of route 2 and alewife parkway for even more convenience. There are multipleparking lots outside which means no hassle to find parking! The occasion was my 22nd birthday and we decided to go and haveseafood here at Summer Shack! The hostess’s were very kind as they sat us further away from what seemed to be a work party atthe bar section that were a bit loud. I find this courteous to the guests as it shows respect to parties who would prefer toavoid larger crowds. The drinks were great and the appetizers were delicious! We started off with clams and oysters both on thehalf shell. All the raw seafood was FRESH and flavorful! I’ve always been a seafood guy and it was my special day so I got a1 1/2 pound lobster which was full of meat! For the people who are like “it’s too much work to get the meat out and it’stoo messy” please, just order off the kids menu if you want to complain. Some of us enjoy the excitement in eatinglobster. For dessert, i got a slice of cheesecake with a candle to blow out on top which was an amazing touch! We also had ayoungster with us which they provided coloring paper and extra napkins which is another thumbs up for me! I would like to thankthe Summer Shack staff for such an amazing 22nd birthday experience and would highly recommend for any celebration or just anight out! Look forward to coming back! best regards, Benjamin P. Read more

Picturesque, uncomplicated seafood and fish diner. The staff was very friendly and attentive, although we had to wait a bit for... the food as the place was packed. We went for dinner with work colleagues on a weekday, but without booking we might not havehad a place to sit. The fried fish was good but not amazing. Lobster roll was also good, but the best dish, in my view, were theoysters. Prices are somewhat on the higher side. Rather hot and greasy atmosphere indoors. A little bit far if you don't drivethere, although there's a blue bikes and subway stations nearby. Read more

Food decent, atmosphere nice. Prices higher than expected but probably exacerbated by the absolutely terrible service. literally... one of three tables in the place and had to get up to ask for butter, waited for check, my drink sat empty. For 80 dollars fortwo lobster rolls, i expected better service to be honest. Read more

Great place to bring the family. The staff is super nice and the food was pretty good overall. I thought some of it was a little... too salty and greasy but not terrible for the price. Read more
