Went to Cambridge and picked up some George's. Moved out of town and haven't had it in a year or so. Man was I disappointed!... Plastic tv dinner containers replaced round tin foil pie pans. Lots of rice, very little chicken. (Combo platter #1) Rice use tobe light and have that smokey, fresh wok taste. Now, heavy, watery and just gross. Sauce for S & Sour chicken, watery and notmuch of it. Plum sauce, watery. Called George's when I got home and was told that the chicken portion was normal. I've beenbuying the same item for YEARS! IT'S NOT THE SAME PORTION! Also apparently the price of oil has something to do with it. Iunderstand inflation. I'd pay more for quality. What a shame. End of an era i guess. If one of the family members openedanother restaurant and restored the food as we remember, they'd put George's out of business! The change in dinner container so that it has a mountain of rice and an ant hill of chicken, along with the change in sauce is... too much. This is very unfortunate as I loved this place. May update rating if this gets fixed. Read more
Been coming here for over 20 years, not anymore. Prices went up which I don't mind paying when it's good food and portions. Now... they have new take out containers with a pile of rice and small amount of chicken. Food doesn't taste the same anymore also,very bland! Will find a new place now. Read more
George?s was a family favourite for special occasions when I was kid (50+ years ago), and on a recent visit back to Cambridge, I... was surprised and pleased to find that George?s was still open and in the same location. To my delight the menu still had ourfavourite foods and they still tasted delicious! George?s serves tasty food, delivers it quickly and offers generous portions.The staff are friendly and helpfully. Amazingly, this restaurant has been in business for 70+ years and is on the 3rd generationfamily ownership. Help support local business! Read more
I have loved George's Chinese since I can remember, but I am not sure if I will visit there again. My Mom, Aunt , a friend and I... went there for lunch last week and we served ourselves on Styrofoam plates , plastic utensils and paper cups for coffee andtea. I was very disappointed. We did ask if we were able to eat in, so when our food came out in a paper to go bag with plasticsoup spoons to serve I was very surprised. I guess part of the problem was me not understanding when the order taker said shewas going to bring it out in a bag. The food was still very good as usual but very bad experience as far as I am concerned. Read more
We love George?s and drive out of town to pick it up in Cambridge. We always order the same items. It was ordered correctly and... we received the wrong items upon coming home and opening our food. We called to let them know of the mistake and in turn we weretold it was our mistake for not hearing them correctly upon pick up. Super disappointed with customer service considering howexpensive it is and far we drove to pick it up. Instead of making it right we were told how to properly order next time when theemployee was too busy taking multiple calls that she got our order mixed up. Not happy. Read more

George?s is a Cambridge institution. It is not authentic Chinese cuisine but is very good Version you can find anywhere but much... better than average and always consistent. Long time customer. Read more
