I am usually not one to complain about service, but the hostess here was awful tonight. We were not greeted by her when we came... in. We went in with a reservation for 10 and said that we needed one high chair, rolled her eyes and said how many. She took usto our table, there was no cutlery. It took about 15 minutes for her to bring the high chair. We then asked if we could havesome cutlery, she came back and pretty much tossed it on the table. She was walking around just looking miserable. I went to usethe washroom, she looks right at me and then walks right into me. She did not apologize but one of the other servers apologizedfor her. Swiss Chalet is my favourite restaurant, but this has just given me a bad taste for this restaurant. Our server Aldenwas wonderful though! he was very fast and efficient. Very nice guy!! Read more

The absolute worst. Ordered a take out dinner for two people an hour in advance. Upon arriving they had no such order, I... could wait and they would get to it. I left and called customer service. After three attempts with customer service I gave up asthey kept timing out and I would have to call back. Everyone was always very sorry, but no resolution, as no one ever completedthe call. I gave up. Run from Swiss Chalet, 506 Hespeler Road, Cambridge, Ont. They are absolutely the worst experience I haveever had. In the end we went back to our old faithful Chinese Restaurant. Called order in from parking lot of Swiss Chalet,drove to it picked it up and thoroughly enjoyed it. Run from Swiss Chalet as fast as you can. UPDATE I have responded to SwissChalet request , with their request for more info. By replying to their feedback. They had pretty much all the informationalready. They received 1 star on everything. If I could give negative stars I would. I am interested to see if anythinghappens. I think more reviewers should update their response when they receive a feedback number from Swiss Chalet. About a week ago my daughter and I stopped in for supper. The server was polite, but the service was very slow. The food was... good, but I did not get exactly what I ordered. My caesar salad had next to no dressing on it. Didn't really enjoy it. Mydaughter used the washroom and slid on the greasy floor, hurting her back. Its Swiss Chalet so if the food is fresh then you know what you're getting. I ordered online for pickup and my order was ready... earlier than the 20 minute estimate I was given. Server at the pick-up window was very friendly and helpful. Read more

I use to go for a family dinner all the time because of your nice staff but budgets have become tight. My kids ask to go and I... have to explain that we are not able to eat at your restaurant now because I was laid off for a 7 months when travel was cutback. We still visit but not as often. Visited and as usual, disappointing. Haven't had a good experience at this location in years. As usual, they never have kids... cups (with lids) for drinks, other locations do. On this occasion, no milk (plain or chocolate). Also requested a high chair. Itwas filthy. Would have been just as sanitary if I sat my toddler on the dumpsters out back. Disgusting that they do not cleanthem, especially in the time of Covid! Would cleaning a high chair between use really be that hard? I had my own wipes but itwould have taken half an hour or more to clean the chair. The place most certainly wasn't busy, so one would think they couldspare time to clean? Pop that was ordered was just carbonated water, no syrup. When we requested replacement drinks, thewaitress was happy to do so, also offered to refill syrup in machines...so they wait for a customer to complain before theycheck/refill drinks machines? This location is by far the worst, for both dine in and take out. Read more

They said they were extremely busy and my meal would take an additional 10 minutes. I sat in a completely dead parking lot... waiting for curbside pickup. After waiting in my car over 30 minutes I went in and she lied and said she didn't have my order. Iinsisted and showed her the text they sent me as well as my online order. She checked and it was just sitting there waiting fornearly 40 minutes. I then waited while they made fresh fries because the ones they first made went cold while I waited in my carfor them. When we opened the chicken it was absolutely disgusting and soaping wet about a centimeter of white goo on the bottomof the box. They also forgot butter. Read more
