I?m of central american descent, so I can tell you these papusas aren?t it. They have barely any filling and should they... reallybe considered plain tortillas. I?ve never ordered from an el salvadorian place that doesn?t include curtido in the order,very ghetto. If your not feeling these papusas please try elsewhere don?t let this represent my peoples food. EDIT: So afterreviewing what the owner has written I would like to clairfy a couple of things. The level of filling here is absolutely notacceptable no matter how ?seasoned? the person who made it is. You can barely taste anything but the tortilla, like I said anoverpriced tortilla. I?ve orderd many papusas where red salsa AND the coleslaw were BOTH free & included. I have NEVER had anoption for one or the other. Also this is the only restaurant on I?ve ever seen(I?m from Toronto especially) that charges $1 forcutlery on Skipthedishes. Reviews indicate other items are good in this business but I can?t recommend the papusas. Read more
This place is so cute. They serve amazing Mexican food. The owners are amazing and very friendly. They are always helping out... their customers with smiles on their face. You can just tell how happy they are. I had the beef tacos and it was so delicious????. I can't wait to go back there again. Read more
Authentic Mexican food with affordable prices and huge portions ! I got beef (res) and pork tacos (cochinita pibill) and the... portion are massive. They also come with homemade salsa, I chose Salsa Roja and Guacamole salsa. Each portion comes with 3stuffed tacos and chips for $13.00! I saw someone post about UnoMarketplace and luckily enough, I had to work down the street from them and was able try out their... food. IT IS AMAZING! Went back twice. The tacos and enchiladas are some of the best I've ever had in Canada. You should 100% gothere. 10/10, definitely driving back soon. Read more
If you can?t get south for authentic snacks, sauces, pop/soda, chips, nachos, even cookies, you can visit UnoMarketplace located... on the corner of Sheldon and Franklin in Cambridge UnoMarketplace offers genuine imported goods from Mexico. Uno also offerstakeout of some of your favorites. They are easy to get to, there is loads of parking, the staff is very friendly. Read more
Great little Mexican grocery and grill just off highway 401 in Cambridge. I saw it while going through of one of the 2 billion... traffic circles on Franklin and decided to come back to explore later and am glad I did. As you first enter you will see shelvesof the grocery stocked with important mexican foods that are harder to find in Canada such as Hominey, canned tomatillos, corntortillas and a great variety of sauces. In the deli case they have their fresh made Salsas (I recommend the Salsa Verde, veryfresh and piquant but not really hot) There is a counter to order food. I recommend the Tacos al Pastor with Pineapple. I alsoordered 3 pupusas which were delicious but I would recommend just getting the bean and cheese I did find the pork camethrough. Yesterday I visited this little mexican Gem in Cambridge The owners are so friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to... give such exceptional customer service. All the food my family and I ordered was delicious and fresh. This is true authenticmexican food. The best was dessert their chocolate churros are just a bite of heaven. They also sell lots of mexican productsand treats like a mini mexican corner store. Definitely try this place out! Will see you guys soon. Read more
UnoMarketplace has the best tacos I've had in all of Waterloo Region, and probably the best *anywhere* that's not Mexico or... California. Their churros are also amazing, and the staff, other patrons and the grocery store itself all create a wonderfulvibe that makes the experience even better. We live close to Uptown Waterloo, and made the drive solely to get food here, and itwas well worth it. Already looking forward to our next trip! Read more
