ANTEBELLUM home circa 1827 that's gorgeously appointed with numerous rooms both inside and out. Food is good and ranges from... gulf seafood, shrimp, red snapper a blue crab casserole; to a magnificent steak and chicken dishes. It has an award winning pieacclaimed statewide. Did I mention the multiple ghost happening? Note I didnt say tourist trap ghost stories but GHOSTHAPPENINGS. Go to YouTube and put in ghost stories Gaines Ridge Dinner Club and get blown away. This place is excellent. Please don't compare it to a 5-star dining destination in a major metropolis. GainesRidge is simply a... delightful dining destination in a small southern town, full of charm and history. Our fried green tomatoes, steak and shrimpwere excellent. Plus the Black Bottom Pie is definitely one of the 100 dishes you must try in Alabama before you die. Thepresentation was simple and straightforward. The chipped plates, the mismatched flatware and the furniture from years gone byall add to the charming ambience. The host and server made us feel "at home". It is most assuredly one of those places that willbe on our "must return" list. Read more
