Great spot to have a cheesesteak. It's not a traditional take since it's on a poppy seed bun but it's so delicious! I loved the... spicy pepper mix and loaded up my sandwich with it. The spicy pickle and stuffed cherry pepper were also great additions.Couldn't ask for more! Read more
Actually went for a late breakfast. Got a cheesesteaks with fried onions. Had no idea what to expect. The taste was amazing and... the service was great. The only reason I didn?t give it 5 stars was the sliced meat was a bit hard to eat - you really have tobite through and it slides out of the bun. That all said the sandwich was amazing. Read more
Top 3, possibly best, steak of my life. The owner took care of us, very friendly guy, pours a great Guinness, and made us up... the special ketchup/oil mix for our fries. Great experience and I left completely stuffed and happy. Read more
Great little place tucked in the city. When you make one thing delicious you build the menu around that. The cheesesteak on a... round roll was a game changer for us long roll enthusiast. Great cheesesteak, even in western Canada Donkey?s Place?s reputation is known. It did not disappoint. The sandwiches are huge... so come prepared. Best eaten fresh in the restaurant as they will get soggy if they sit in the bag too long. If I lived anywhereclose I would certainly come back. Read more
Donkeys place has a New Jersey style cheesesteak. They are huge, and you won?t leave feeling hungry. This is definitely a hole... in the wall place, you?d miss it if you didn?t know it was there. The bread is very soft and not tough, unlike a lot of Phillycheesesteaks. Be prepared to come hungry. Our service was good as well. Read more
This place is amazing! It's small, but definitely is busy. We came in around 11:30a and there was a line of people on the inside... waiting for their orders. We were able to grab a table tho. The menu is simple, but SO DELICIOUS!!! The amount of onions you getis out of this world and there is an option to add more. The fries have a yummy seasoning and the cheese just enhanced theflavor. There are cool t-shirts to purchase and above all else, everyone is SO friendly including the customer base. We got ourfood around 12p and by then people were looking for spots to sit and eat at so I do recommended to come in a bit earlier to beatany rushes they might have. Definitely worth the wait!
