Friday Fish Fry was really good deal for $10 it included fries, 2 large fish portions, battered and fried, and choice of a soup... or a salad. Tomato bisque soup was an excellent choice. Others in the party of six had the beef kabobs and that was not what wasexpected. The kebab skewer was only 5 to 6 inches long with one slice of meat on it, over a large plateful of wild rice mixedwith white rice. It was not satisfying nor did it look like kebabs. The other option, if you are an aggressive eater with alarge appetite and capacity, may order the AYCE fish fry at $15. Two in our party said their side of vegetables was peas insteadof beans, and they tasted like cinnamon on the peas! Its worth it for friends who want to share a few rounds and laugh and havesome good fish fry. Having children present was a bad distraction, they had crying babies and toddlers there. Get a sitter, somewant to get away from that and enjoy a meal with friends, not hear squalling babies for 90 minutes! Read more
We have used Fire Away Roadhouse for several trainings. They are awesome to work with, excellent accommodations, and their food... is great. They worked with us for setting up times the day before as well. Would highly recommend using their facilities formeetings, trainings weddings ect. Food is great too. Prices are also great. We ordered the Prime rib special. Our first ones were cold, we sent them back and they made new ones. At least they didn?t... just microwave them to heat them up. The next round made it about half way through the meal before they were too cold, but weate them anyway. They were full Of grizzle, not a quality prime rib for sure. Taste was average at best, but the dogs willlove them. When we got the bill, we noticed they charged each meal an extra dollar above the advertised price. Not sure why,we didn?t order any extras. At this point, we just wanted to get out of there so we just paid it. The service was good, it wasnot the waitress? fault. Read more
As a traveler, this is the best stop I've made! After a warm Wisconsin welcome and a cold beer, I had the best burger and fries.... The staff were very informative and shared local attractions and about area lakes and trails. Will be back, for sure! Read more
