first time ever ordering from here, so possibly my fault for not understanding the menu term "meal kit" I didn't realize that it... was "Ikea Del Mar". Was expecting a really nice plate presentation of nachos, not a DIY order. Plastic freezer bags used for thechips...not so sure about this overall.. Read more

I ordered the lobster taco and unfortunately it was so bad I couldn’t eat it.. I asked the girl if there was even any lobster... and she said it’s a mixture of fish .. so I left but then I later contacted the company and asked for my money back because itwas really not good and I felt like they kind of sold me a lobster taco when it was really fish.. but no one got back to me so Iused to go there for all sorts of things i’m not sure if I will anymore .. but if I do it will be because I do like some oftheir other food like shrimp tacos .. and the staff are super nice.. Crispy whitefish was cold, soggy, and tasted like old fryer oil. The ingredient quality has really declined over the past few... years and prices have increased. That asada place in town is a far better choice. Read more

Avoid the soft corn tacos ($4.50-7 each) here! The burrito ($10-12) and enchiladas ($13) are okay. I have been here a few times... and the first two times I ordered the burrito and enchiladas with pork filling. It was okay and comparable to Mucho Burrito.Nothing special but filling and decent. However, today I felt adventurous and decided to try out their special seafood tacos($7 each) and pozole soup ($11) they have been advertising on the poster. What a mistake and wasted $30 on dinner for myself(wish I took photos). The only part okay was the pozole soup but not worth the $11 they charge. The soft corn shell was doubledup and put in a steamer for 15 seconds. However when I ate the taco, the shell was still quite cold and because it wasn't warmit totally ruined the taco. I decided that I'll just use my spoon and eat the filling but that was just equally bad. It's likethey put lobster bits mixed in with thin slices of cabbage and your choice of salsa. It was quite dry, flavorless and cold. Itwould be better if the lobster was hot server with onion, cilantro and salsa. Along with warm corn tortilla shells! The servicewasn't great but I know it's a tough time to find good employees especially for fast food joints. They treat customers as ifthey have been here and know how things work. I watched as some guy new to the place struggled to place his order. If I doreturn I'll stick with the burrito or enchiladas. Read more

I felt it wasn't such a great place to work. I was not well served, my food was not fully cooked, so I gave her a nice tip. This... was a nice surprise for her. Glad someone could make her smile. Read more

I enjoy eating at this location, been here twice since living here in Campbell River! Not as expensive as a few locations I've... been too! A few times had to order a different burrito, seeing they didn't have my Spinach wrap! But regardless the food isgreat, a little pricy; but still better than some places in town Read more

We’ve always loved taco del mar for a quick bite but the service in this restaurant is what made it special. The woman who... served the food was so kind and caring (we’d had a vehicle breakdown) and really made the day much better. Can’t thank themenough and the food was delicious! Read more
