Orchard is... fine. Store is... fine. Definitely light on a lot of things I've come to expect at apple orchard stores- had a few... things but notably didn't have cider donuts or jars of apple butter, that kind of thing. They seem to lean very heavily into thewinery, which, ehhhhhh. Did their 7 tastes for $10 and the wine was pretty bad. Sulfites and sugar, just everything was syruppyand cheap tasting. Your aunt who isn't very picky will probably find it to be pretty okay, and at least they don't charge a lot.Kids truly appreciated the play area here as they've been bored at many similar establishments. One of the only somewhatcredible touristy places for dozens of miles in any direction, which isn't nothing if you need something to do in the area. Read more

A great experience! Apples are larger than a typical ?pick your own? place and it was quieter. The winery was a nice addition to... the trip. Wines were a bit sweet for my taste but I?m sure they?d be great for a fruit wine lover. Read more

This place is a hidden treasure, i went on the labor day weekend. Chad was great, helped with wine tasting.The Pretzel is a must... have. The Apple orchard, winery, food and people are incredible. We got wines and relaxed on the estate. Will visit again - Sam,IL Read more

If you are old or overweight they will allow you bring in food and drinks. If you do not fit that standard sorry about you. ... You will be watched and harassed despite the hurnards of dollar you spend at thier winery. Oh and God lord do not go there ifyou have a gluten allergy they will send you to the er to make a buck. The owner is always welcoming and remembers us even when we only stop a couple times a year. Great place to stop and have some... delicious wine at a lovely spot and have some great conversation. Great spot to stop any time of year. Read more

The orchard was a little bare when we went but they had a play ground and other activities for the kids. The staff was very... friendly and helpful. The wine was great as well. Definitely worth going to if you are in the area. Read more

We had a fantastic experience at Armstrong. We enjoyed a tasty bottle of wine while watching our kids play on the wooden fort... and bounce mat. My son particularly liked launching apples with the giant sling shots. The server/owner was extremely welcoming,friendly, and informative. We will definitely be back. Read more
