My husband and I spent one night there we have never been to a bed and breakfasts and I must say it truly exceeded our... expectations the place is absolutely beautiful with an old charm to it. it is very clean and the hostess an absolute sweetheartthe breakfast was delicious the chef an absolute delight. It was my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it truly exceeded my expectations! Our hosts and owners of the home,... Marty and Gail, were an absolute pleasure. I was afraid I'd feel uncomfortable in someone else's home, but that was not the caseat all. They were very helpful without being too overbearing. Breakfast alone was worth the stay. The home is wonderfullydecorated with lots of attention to detail. It's in proximity to most attractions. The negative reviews I read are absolutelyridiculous because clearly some people expected a 5 star Hyatt hotel with the bells and whistles, which this is not. We had an excellent stay ! From the moment we checked in, till the moment we checked out, the staff was exellent. The owners, ... Marty and Gaile, were very helpful and great hosts. Whether it was for information about the area, house or just to make yousmile, they made our stay feel as if we were at grandma's and grandpa's house. The food is excellent, as Marty is a great cook.Breakfast was great and dinner at the inhouse restaurant, My Daughters Place, was also great, as Marty cooks with his daughterthere as well. The home is over 100 years old and offers its own character and charm. The bed was comfortable and roomy, weboth slept well. The only minus was that our room,#2, had a stand up shower which was a bit small and the toilet was close tothe wall but that can be expected with older homes. Other rooms had tubs and showers. This was our first time at a B&B, and what a great experience we had! The owners are so friendly and accommodating, the main and... carriage houses are cute, cozy, and well-kept, and the food is unbelievably amazing! We spent the New Year's weekend here and enjoyed our stay in room 11. Marty and Gaile were really great hosts! The breakfast was... amazing (Marty was also able to accommodate food allergies- ie: gluten intolerance) and the room was nice and cozy. Wouldrecommend to others! Read more
Flipping fantastic. Marty and Gail run this place exactly like it is their home; and treat every guest like they are close... family. The food is amazing, the place is cute, and very well put together. Gail has no issue talking to anyone and can be a joyto talk with. Marty is an excellent arm wrestler and the drinks are top notch. It's cute, out of the way, and quiet. Wouldhighly recommend going through Gail specifically rather than a place like groupon or others. It's 100% worth every single pennyyou'll spend here. Read more
