The food was good, and everything was clean. I'm mostly commenting to say that the server- who I believe was the only server... there on a Friday night with like 20 tables - was awesome. She kept calm and was polite and it's truly amazing she was able tohandle that situation. I would have cried and left. Read more
Waitress was very nice and knew what she was doing but seemed new to this restaurant/location, we had nothing against her. The... manager was a different story, we ordered the chicken addiction bowl, a bourbon chicken skillet, and a chicken fried chicken.The skillet and the chick addiction bowl were correct but we got a country fried steak instead of the chicken. The waitress saidwe could keep the steak and she would get us the chicken. Then the manager came over with a bowl and said we needed to returnthe steak because we couldn't keep it, with no reason or apology. My mother ordered hers with onion rings and we were upchargedfor them even though there was no notice of the upcharge on the page. We ordered the pancake puppies as an "appetizer" and wedidn't get them until everything alse was gone. When we asked for a to-go box for them and the icing on the side, she said shewould get a fresh bowl of the icing. We got the box and the icing and the receipt. Checking the receipt there were two chargesfor icing, and the waitress said the manager told her to add the extra charge. The manager was very unprofessional, rude, andshort. Wouldn't consider comping the chicken fried chicken, even though my mother wasn't able to eat her meal with us. When wetried to ask about the receipt she acted like she didn't have the time to deal with us and we were bothering her. We have beento dozens of Denny's around the country, and have never had this bad an experience. We used to really like this location, but ithas really gone down hill. My mother went to the restroom after eating and said the whole hallway smelled like a sewer pit. Read more
Ordered my child the kids chicken tenders with a side salad and kids milkshake. Adult milkshake and chicken tenders fries and a... side salad came out. I ordered a burger with fries, waitress brought out a bowl of fries and then my burger with fries. Waitressnever returned to our table to check on us there was a total of 3 other tables besides ours in that section. When brought tomanagment attention about my child's meal management stated "well that's what we made you" That's not what we ordered and aftermuch fuss from management they finally adjusted the price to the kids price. Everything you expect from a Dennys honestly. Couple of ladies running the floor. Looked like one cook doing her thing no... problem at all. Food was fast and good. Waitress was also good. Kept my coffee full and was very friendly. Forgot to get hername. Recommended. Read more
Awful experience and will probably not go back. We had to wait a long time, with a baby in arms, to even be seated. There were... only 2-3 tables filled, so that started the whole experience. One person wait staff who had obviously never waited tablesbefore. Drinks were brought out with no silverware to stir my coffee, which was cold by the time my husband went to retrievesome for me(after asking 3 times). After over an hour to receive food (mind you we had a baby with us), my husband did not getwhat he ordered, and everything was so over cooked that my skillet potatoes and veggies were burnt and totally mush at the sametime. Asked for a box to take food home (wanted to at least take the grilled chicken home)...did not get one, nor the check whenwe asked for it, again 3 times we asked. Finally got the check, No discount offered, just "oh I'm so sorry, we got reallybusy"... Ummm no you didn't. I watched about 3 more tables come in to be seated, only to go through the same thing over a 2 hourperiod. Will never go back again. Read more
Denny's has always been one of my favorite restaurants. I believe this one has new owners. It was steady but not busy during... my visit. Customer service was great and our waitress was super friendly. The whole place was clean and the bathrooms wereextremely well maintained (this is a big one for me). The pricing was good as well. Most places I go to have shot up in pricebut Denny's seems to have stayed about the same at this location. I would have liked to give 3.5 stars for my review becausethe experience itself was great and we really enjoyed our visit. I chose to go with three stars for two reasons. The firstbeing that it took a little bit longer than expected for our food to come out. The second reason is that everything wasovercooked, and being that the main purpose of our visit was to eat, this is a big one ????. We ordered a well donecheeseburger with fries and zesty nachos. Cheeseburger was a bit too charred and fries were definitely overcooked. They weresuper crunchy and if cooked any longer they would have been burnt. The nachos were also overcooked to the point that theytasted a little off. Hopefully the cook was just having a bad day. I don't get a chance to visit the Canandaigua area oftenbut I'd definitely return in hopes that the next visit will be better as the overall experience itself was good. Read more
Today was a girl's day for my daughter and I. We came to Dennys and today was the first time she was given a big girl menu not a... kids menu and she loved it. We both got oreo milkshakes. And we split some mozzarella sticks. She had the French toast slam withfruit added. And I have the double berry and banana pancakes with double bacon and double sausage. The meal was so good wereally enjoyed ourselves. We love Dennys and will always be back. Read more
You can tell they are lacking staff. Service was slow but friendly. The food was good and hearty. Potion size was just right.... The "Salted Carmel pecan" milkshake was the bomb. They are the place to go for breakfast or when nothing else is open.Management was great, We'll be back Read more
