On the last day of our mini moon, my husband and I decided to try breakfast at Rose Tavern. While we initially had concerns... because from Google maps it looked as though this restaurant was located inside the hotel, we realized upon arriving at thespace had its own entrance and we are so happy that we kept our reservations! Our server Hannah was truly amazing and helped twovery indecisive eaters who are still on cloud nine from their wedding day pick out the perfect breakfast option before a driveback to Cleveland, Ohio. Everything about this establishment was absolutely dreamy! From the decor, to the appearance of ourmeals and even the taste, the chefs in this kitchen know what they?re doing! Had dinner at both Rose Tavern and The Sand Bar, and preferred The Sand Bar much more. Overall, the hotel and atmosphere is... great with both, but the food was much better at The Sand Bar. Prices are about the same. We ordered the Shrimp cocktail withcrab Louie to start, my wife had the scallops, I had the duck and we got a side of brussel sprouts. The shrimp were fresh anddelicious but were only served with cocktail sauce upon our request which was basically just ketchup. For a restaurant of thiselegance I would have expected better. The crab Louie was good. The scallops were fresh but both dishes came out as if they weresitting under heat lamps and minutes apart. Not what you'd expect when paying $100+ per person. Rose tavern did not disappoint!!! Tonight was our first time visiting and our server Amanda was incredible ???? She was... professional, knowledgeable and gave the best recommendations! Delicious food and drinks plated to perfection. My husband and Igot the beet salad, duck and pork chop. The sides are sharable and we got the Mac and cheese and potatoes.
