I can't say enough good things about this place. We were on a road trip and passed through Canyon City. The downtown was closed... for the night except a bunch of restaurants. DiRitos had a wait, but we figured we would give it a try. TBH, we weren'texpecting a lot. Decent Italian at best. Small town. How good could it be? Well, let me tell you....we both had some of theBEST food, Italian or otherwise, that we have ever had. The starter salad was a bit of a letdown, but it was towards the end ofthe night so understandable. It still tasted good. The Italian Margarita was excellent. I ordered the ribeye and fries. Hands-down, the best French fries I've ever had. The ribeye was cooked exactly right and seasoned to perfection. He had the OlioOule. Pasta was cooked exactly right, and the meatballs were very good. The lemon cake was "clean your plate" delicious.Pricesare reasonable, especially considering what you get. We will certainly make this a must stop next time we come anywhere nearCanyon City. Family owned diner that is very popular. We had about 30 minute wait in evening. The Alfredo pasta dish was very good. I... experimented with a house pasta dish which turned out too spicy with black pepper. The meatballs were good. The waitress broughtsome Alfredo sauce to tone it down but I wouldn?t order it again. We came to Canon City for work. Bar hopped a bit and explored Main Street. We loved this pizza!!! Great staff as well.... Also?we?ve been here a few times over the years and this town has totally seemed to revitalized itself. We?ve been here beforeand have had concerns about safety. This time, it was totally clean and new business seem to have moved in. We?re also reallyexcited about the hotel being rebuilt on Main Street. Read more
We came by for lunch on a Friday and it was already hopping. We were seated quickly and the service was excellent. Consider the... rigatoni, either Supreme or with the meatball; members at our table of four had both and they were great. The dinner salads arehuge and come with your choice of dressing. I have to mention the garlic bread; by every appearance it's home made and soincredibly good! Take the time to visit during your next trip to Canon, you won't be disappointed. Read more
One of the vast dining experiences I've had in a long time. When so many restaurants have cut back on quality and staff has cut... back on service, the staff of DiRito's was phenomenal! Taylor was very fast, friendly, and genuine. I will definitely come backthe next time I'm in town. Read more
LOVE this place. Stop in for lunch, even if just passing through. If you don't take the time to hop off the main drag onto Main... Street, you'll miss this cozy, comfy gem. Everything I've tried had been fantastic! Don't remember the name of the dish(pictured), but not something I'd try normally. Went with the waitress recommendation and SO glad I did! We had our lunch here before taking the train ride which is very close to this place. The food was good and so was the server.... We ordered Fettuccini Alfredo and Garlic Toast. Both the dishes were good. Read more
