The appetizer special was just horrible! I’m not even sure how to describe it; dry, bland, fried mystery app? Just bad all... around. The fried rice was decent. I’ve eaten here before and had the pad Thai which was pretty good. Read more

My first impression here is very positive. I have ordered the wild boar basil served with Jasmin rice and it is delicious. The... owner, from Belgium was friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes they have on the menu. UpdateMay 22, 2022: the Belgium chocolate mousse is indeed very good! Update Nov 19, 2022. I'm eating my way through the menu. Forgotto mention the green papaya salad here is very good. Read more

Stumbled upon this place while looking for another place. From the outside you're not sure if it's a dump or something really... charming inside. Most definitely the latter! Excellent Thai food. Friendly service despite a lack of staff and the wait was notbad considering. Have been recommending to others. Hope you stumble upon it too! Read more

Grateful to the charming company I dined with and atmosphere (2nd date); the accommodating host/waiter and the kitchen! I felt... really at ease asking questions, sharing my food allergies and trusting the employees know what items would quench mycravings. The food was prepared fresh and without delay and we weren’t rushed from our tables. I really enjoyed theexperience. Read more

My family and I have been eating here for years, and if it was my last meal on Earth I would request Green Papaya’s pad Thai... and Belgian chocolate mousse. We have never had anything but excellent food here, and are huge fans of the wonton soup, chickensatay, thai fried rice, pad thai, and love the curry and seafood options. We are always greeted with a smile, great food andgreat conversation. Truly a family run gem within Canton. Read more

I've been coming to the Green Papaya for quite a few years, and it never disappoints. Ingredients are fresh, dishes are... homemade, sauces aren't overly heavy, spiciness always hits the spot. You can confidently order from virtually any part of themenu - I've never encountered anything that was sub-par. Portions are over-generous (the chicken satay appetizer, for example, could be an entree for most people), but you can always take some home! It's even better if you can score one of the limitedBelgian chocolate mousse desserts - best to reserve those in advance, because the owner makes only a dozen a day. Remember toBYOB if you want wine or beer with your dinner - no liquor license. Or you can do take-out - the food is just as good, but thenyou miss the atmosphere, of course! Read more

Second time here. The food is exceptional! We started with the crab rangoons, shumai, and golden crab. All were tasty. His... favorite was the shumai. For entrees I had the Kai-Kra-Prow both times. It is flavorful and spicy, but not too hot. Myhusband had the Tamarind Shrimp. It was delicious as well. The sauce was citrusy and sweet. The owners take a lot of pride. Thewife makes magic in the kitchen and the husband runs the front of the house and is delightful. Read more

This place is truly a neighborhood gem! The food is incredible, especially the Pad Thai. The service is impecable and the family... who runs are lovely: a super kind Belgium man waits the tables and his Thai wife and mother in law do the cooking. Went with mywife and friends who we met while living in Thailand together and this place brought back so many amazing memories. The foodreally does taste like what you’d expect in Thailand. Delicious! Read more
