My daughter called me the day of our grandson's birthday saying she stopped at Baskin-Robbins to get an ice cream cake but they... didn't have any. So I called Carvel. They had cakes and were able to to write Happy Birthday for us on it. The employee was sonice on the phone and when we picked up the cake. I was able to buy candles there, too. Gary the owner went above and beyond to help design AND hand-deliver a cake to one of my best friends. I currently live in... northern Michigan and I have a friend in Canton whose birthday was this week. I wanted to surprise my friend with a birthdaytreat so I called Carvel and explained my situation to Gary. He truly went above and beyond to not only help me design abeautiful cake with chocolate chip cookie ice cream treats (my friend's favorite), but kindly delivered the cake to my friend'shouse when I mentioned we had a short window of time during the day to do so. He also added two extra ice cream cookies to thecake at no additional charge because "They made it look even more beautiful, so I couldn't not do that". My friend was not onlysurprised but said it was the best ice cream cake and cookies ever. If you get to Carvel, ask for Gary. He will provide the bestservice ever with an end-product that's amazing! 20 minutes driving there just for them to be closed at 10:20 and hours listed online say open till 11pm there were no posted... hours on the building either. Read more
