The food is delicious! Unfortunately, the service wasn't great or I'd give it a 5 star. The waiter only checked on our party of... 13 every 15 minutes or so, and wasn't attentive despite the $400+ bill we racked up. Definitely not a hustler. And our group wasabout half of the total number of people dining in the whole place. All of the staff other than the greeter and checkout seemedto hide until we left. Then all of a sudden 6 showed up to clear our table. Maybe they'd have more business if they focused onimproving service while people are seated and eating? Oh, here's another weird thing... I asked for ice tea and our server cameback with some lemonade cherry concoction and presented it like he was proud of inventing it. Not the ice tea I asked for. Whodoes that? A+ for A Plus Crab! Great service, fresh seafood, and the extra spicy A+ seasoning I ordered was spicy. My only 'crabbing' is... the same at every seafood house, the boiled corn on the cob is over-done and too soft. Of course I ate it and enjoyed it anyway.:-) While the price is not low, considering I got a half pound of snow crab, a half pound of shrimp, along with a half pound ofsausage, a few potatoes, and a cobblet of corn for just a bit over $30, that's not outrageous by any means. Plus, I ate all Icould and have enough left over for another meal. This was our second visit to A Plus and the second time I've had enough fortwo meals. So the price for me is actually $15 per meal. And who doesn't like leftovers? And better than that, our daughterpaid, so the meal tasted that much better! :-) The best part of the meal by far was celebrating my granddaughters' birthday. At11 years old, she chose the restaurant and really enjoyed her meal as well as the birthday ice cream. A Plus with family is thebest way to crab! You don't need to take my word for it, we were one of three birthday celebrations and there were large familyseatings enjoying their meals! too! A Plus Crab is in the Country Fair Plaza at Tuscarawas and Whipple in Canton. Be preparedto wear a bib and gloves which they provide, a little work to open the Crab legs, and ENJOY! Read more
The staff was excellent. Loved our waitress. She was very personable and was attentive. The inside is decorated nice and is... a fun atmosphere. My issue is of personal taste. The breading used on their fish and calamari is very bad. I love calamariand had to send it back. The staff came back to ask me what was wrong with it and were very nice and apologetic about it. Didnot charge me for it. I tried to eat the catfish but just couldn't stomach the breading. I have to say that all of the foodwas very hot which is good. We came here last weekend for my husbands birthday and he absolutely loved the food it was great! They brought out some ice... cream with the coolest sparkler candle and my son absolutely loved it! We came back today because we were desperate to find thatsame candle for my son's birthday party tomorrow since he loved it so much we went to 6 different stores and nobody had it so wecame back hopeful maybe we could buy one from them and out of the kindness of their hearts they just gave us one and absolutelymade our day and my son's birthday party tomorrow I know he will love it!
