Haven't been here in years and I was disappointed in my latest visit. Didn't like that I had to order on a kiosk. Food was... good, but I ordered a double cheeseburger and got a single. Server got me another one. All the tables were dirty and we had toask someone in the kitchen to clean one off for us. Everytime we needed anything, we had to get up and walk to the kitchen andask them for it. There was a loud screeching noise off & on the entire time we were there. Bring back the servers! Read more
We ordered on the kiosk, but quickly realized that several menu items were not available. We also discovered that we could not... pay using the gift card stored on the app. The staff had no idea how transfer the order from the kiosk to their terminal. Theytried to recreate the order, but could not. The restaurant used to be so busy and inviting; it is now a ghost town with nouseful human interaction. The man at the grill was rude and coughing as he was flipping burgers. Needless to say, we won't begoing back. Read more
We ate here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The lady manager, Makaily, was very helpful when the food kiosk's were not... working. She took our orders. Our food was awesome and hot! Will definitely be going back. Restaurant was clean. I definitelyrecommend it. Read more
One waitress for the whole dining room. You self order and check out. Your server makes your shakes and brings you the food if... she's not too busy. Poor lady. I also think there's one cook. For all the staffing, they do a great job. This was a Saturdayevening. Read more
Great Service , a little bit of a wait. However that was due to Staffing issues. But definitely worth it. This restaurant only... had two people working. Food was hot. Order was right, an couldn't beat the price. Read more
Worst restaurant experience. No one in the dining area that smells terrible. Like rotten meat and old grease. We waited 30... minutes for our food before I asked what was going on with our order. The manager who rudely came out said ?we are just gettingready to start it. You want it or not?? I told him I was on a schedule and didn?t have time to wait any longer.. his reply was?*uck it. I don?t care if you eat here or not.? He grabbed the receipt from my hand and stormed behind the counter and refundedmy $50+ order. He pretty much threw the money at me and again stormed off. If I would have been rude and less inpatient I couldunderstand the rudeness some.. I was quite polite until the manager that should not be managing anything became rude and cocky!He is great way to destroy a business. When you are the only customer and don?t see an employee anywhere and clearly can seeyour food hasn?t been started 30 minutes after ordering. I should have been rude. We will never return.. Read more
Food was really good. The service was quick; that is to say, I quickly served myself. There are no longer servers or people at... the counter. You have to put in your own order at the kiosk, pour your own drinks, and pick up your food at the counter...andthe kiosk has the audacity to ask how much tip you want to add? I hadn't remembered filling out an application or an interviewprocess, but I guess I work at Steak 'n Shake now. Perhaps next time, I'll have to cook the food myself. Just like most budgetfood chains; dine-in patrons are no longer welcome. Take-out and drive through is probably fine. I personally have no intentionsof coming back, its not as though they lowered there prices when they cut the staffing, just lowered their service. Read more
Haven't dined in since before COVID and a lot has changed for the worst. First, want to start off with saying that the... restaurant was very understaffed and most of the issues experienced was because of this, not because of bad staff. So with thelow staff, waiters have been replaced by touch screens. As previous reviewers have stated, they are missing a bunch of items.Restroom was dirty but again, understaffed. As there are no waiters, there's also no one to wipe down and clean tables. Foodwas fine and the same old Steak 'n Shake which is good. So if you plan on going, don't. You may have fond memories of latenights at Steak 'n Shake but its now a understaffed fast food joint. There's better options in Canton. Read more
