I grew up in California and I?ve done a lot of wine tasting over the years. It?s so nice that Amarillo and Canyon area have a... winery. When it?s not windy outside the patio is awesome. This is the most chill winery I?ve ever been to. How many winerieshave you been to where there?s a TV with sports on? I was a little confused because it smelled like someone was smoking insideyet I didn?t see anyone smoking? Not sure what that was all about. The staff was friendly and the wine selection nice. We hadflights which were generous pours in my opinion. There is the main room that you walk into which has the TV and couches andtables and chairs and wine bar, and then a Long, more narrow room that opens off of that room with wine barrels and a giant longtable and some little chairs. It was too windy to be outside the day we were there so we sat in this long room and several otherparties shared the table. Beautiful location for a winery in Canyon, TX. Wine selections are good, gorgeous views on the back patio, live music on... Saturday evenings. We enjoyed it. This is right down the road from Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Read more
What a great find!! What may look like a strange metal building is actually a FANTASTIC winery!! The atmosphere - contemporary... meets comfortable. The selection - varied. The pours - very generous!! The scenery - beautiful! The taste - OUTSTANDING!!!!! After driving into the area and getting setup at the Palo Duro Canyon park we wanted to enjoy some local wine and hang out. We... decided to pay the Bar Z Winery a visit. We were welcomed by Monty and the friendly staff and were made to feel at home evenwith the covid craziness. We had an excellent bottle of Cab Sav and enjoyed the excellent patio. They have the patio shelteredfrom the wind and the view is amazing. Even our pup was welcomed and had a great time. Bar Z is a great place to enjoy andevening and have from good local wine. Read more
Found this on Google maps and decided to give it a try. Brought the kids. Family friendly relaxed environment. The views of the... canyon are beautiful! People warm and personable. Was such a great experience the kids asked to go again. Ordered food fromLabelle and it was hand delivered to our table. Cigars welcomed! Read more
Did some dry camping with Harvest Host at the Bar Z Winery. We were allowed to place our trailer where ever it we felt safe and... out of their way. Super friendly folks with some decnet size Irish Wolfhournds that love attention. When we told them what wewere having for dinner, they recommended a wine. It matched beautifully. IF you enjoy a good wine, good folk, good puppies andgood scenes, I would recommend Bar Z. One thing? IF you are camping be careful of soft ground if the weather is damp. Therewere some marks left in the ground by RV leveling equipment. Read more
