This is a very scenic course with challenging layout. Need to pay attention to the hole diagram at each hole as some lakes along... fairways are hidden. The staff was very friendly and course in good condition. Read more
Thank to Debbie in food services we had a wonderful Easter Brunch with a group of 11. She's so very customer focused and great... to work with on making our reservations and making our day complete by taking group photos. The food was very good and ourserver, Nicole did a wonderful job of taking care of us. Looking forward to Mother's Day Brunch. Read more
Visited Cape Coral from Minnesota and decided to get in a round of golf. Booked a tee time efficiently and rented clubs in the... process. Prior to arriving, I called the course 2 times for questions that I had and every question was answered. The course wasin great shape and the staff was very friendly. It was very affordable between the round and the clubs. Everything went smoothlyand I will absolutely be coming back next time I visit Cape Coral. I don?t understand any of the bad reviews saying how thecourse was in bad shape. Greens rolled well, fairways were well groomed, great scenery, all around a great course! Job well donePalmetto Pines! This is a really nice course. I highly recommend. I love the combination of the smaller palm trees/bushes and pine trees - it's... so scenic. The course is in excellent condition. I read previous negative reviews - I don't understand. They did recently sandthe putting surfaces, but that's a normal thing. We played with another twosome who had played the day before and they reportednothing but positive. Read more
Course was in absolute terrible shape, no difference between the rough and fairway. Driving range to warm up was basically... hitting out of a bunker from how much sand there was. Greens in terrible shape. Was my first time playing in Florida and wasexpecting way better course maintenance. Pace of play was pretty good and head pro helped us out and squeezed us a better teetime. Wouldn?t recommend if you are an avid golfer and would pay more for a better experience. Read more
Palmetto-Pine Country Club Restaurant, SW 9th Ct., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is some chatter and my 2 cents on the food. First... chatter... My first observation is that there was no ID of where the restaurant was. 2nd they allowed anyone to park and takeup more than one space in the handicapped area. When I enter I was greeted warmly and enthusiastically. It was very nicelydecorated. The lunch menu was very limited to just wraps, salad and a burger or so. I was able to get a cherry coke made.Thank you. I got the house burger, medium rare, with cole slaw that is made with apricots of all things. I do like cooks toexperiment with traditional items, in this case it fails. It was not very sweet nor very salty. Just blaahhh. I saw some apricotbut just pass. Plus on the recommendation of my server I got the potato soup. It had cheese & bacon on top. It tasted like aliquid baked potato. Good and interesting. Now the burger. I tried to like it but could not.It was cooked to medium rare. Itwas served on those awful brioche buns. When they get wet they fall apart. Plus the grilled was not properly cleaned ( I haveworked in a kitchen I know). I tasted the burnt parts from the grill not being clean with water. I also got a small raspberrymousse for dessert, delightful. But the thing that got me MOST mad was the bill. They automatically have the nerve to add agratuity to my bill. I was not given the option of how much to give my waitress. ( note: she deserved 20%). When asked theserver, she stated she has no control over this plus she waits 2 weeks to get the taxed money. This is obscene of BIG BROTHER. It is more the principle than money. For this reason alone. I will never be back. Read more
