El Sol has the best salsa I?ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. They do $1 tacos on Tuesday that are good but a little dry.... However, they are cheaper and way better than Taco Bell. The other items on their menu are great as well. I haven?t had anythingI didn?t like there. Recommend the margarita! They recently added $2 street tacos to their taco Tuesday option. My wife and Iloved the steak. Chicken option was a bit bland. I think they do a pork version but we didn?t try it. Pics are of one of mychicken tacos. I added queso on top. Great service and wonderful food! I love that I can get a low carb lunch for the same $ I would spend at fast food.
Food wasn't as good as it normally was. Server was going to charge for an extra cheese dip, when my daughter asked to make sure... they poured cheese over her chicken, cheese, and rice. And watch your bill if you're not paying with a debit/credit card. Mycheck had a 92 cent additional charge prior to me even going to pay, for "debit/credit" method of payment. Felt like that is ashady way to make an extra buck off of customers. Especially since it's added to the bill before you even pay. In response tothe El Sol reply - why is it I don't see those additional debit card charges on any other restaurant receipt? Wouldn't it beeasier to just add 2.5% to your food prices? And then offer a cash discount? I know it's a circular thing; but I feel it wouldlook a lot less suspicious. Read more

El Sol is so good that we travel almost an hour to visit every couple of months. We have many Mexican restaurants much closer,... but El Sol is worth the drive. Great chips and salsa, awesome hand made guacamole, $3 margaritas, $1 tacos on Tuesdays. Youhave to try the pineapple fajitas - a very unique dish. Outdoor seating available. Read more
The food was really good but the service was pretty bad considering there were only about five tables occupied. It took a while... to get chips and salsa and then when they brought our food had to remind them that our son ordered food, too. I've heard goodthings but as this was my first time there I don't see myself going back. Read more
Visiting from Colorado, and I must say this place exceeded my expectations on every level! Food was amazing, especially their... queso fundido! Their Potato Chip Nachos are so delicious, I ordered them as my main entree. The drink specials are the best,with the best margarita and beer prices in town!!! Definitely will be returning! The wife ordered the carne asada said it was a little dry but good otherwise, I ordered the Vaquero Special I enjoyed it good... flavor with good portions of the food, and chips n salsa as the standard. Prices are okay, atmosphere was okay/ standard forMexican restaurant, and service was average. Nothing awful and nothing amazing past my food dish. Read more
