Arrived before 10am. 3 tables available. Several folks finished and tables were bussed and cleaned asap. Others arrived Shortly... before or immediately after tables were ready. Food and service were excellent. Prices were very competitive. Easy in and outwith a stop-light intersection on street next to building. See website for current info. We will definitely return. Have came here many times during my time living in Cape. When I came here to see an old friend in April we met at Huddle House.... It was a nice atmosphere to catch up and time slipped away from us. An older waitress named Dolly stood at the counter and toldeveryone in our vicinity, but pointedly at us, and very loudly "you know, your waitress has kids to feed. Such a shame shedoesn't have that table to fill". We were both embarrassed as everyone looked at us. We left a good tip for our waitress,apologized, and hustled out of there. Made a nice reunion a bit sour. I understand speaking up for your coworkers, but I feel asthough Dolly could've been a lot more discrete about asking us to move along. Wednesday at 10am the entire staff was awesome! The team was like a machine. We had a large group and had to sit separately but... all checks were then combined for me. All of the meals came out perfectly. All happy faces. Thanks again Huddle House in Capefor helping us always start our vacations out right. You are and will always be our first stop. Read more
Came in late afternoon for a bite to eat and it wasn't even slammed pack. Our table was sopping wet from dirty rags they use to... wipe tables down. Server took our drink and food order and then we didn't see him for a whole hour and had to waive him down toask where our food was and he says "they must have forgot about it, we will get it done asap". And then proceeded to give us asmall discount as if that helped any after sitting for over an hour. Not cool. Read more
We waited almost 45 minutes for our food and in order to get it I had to ask our waitress who responded with an annoyed and... angry glare and the claim "I'm getting it right now". There were other groups who arrived well after us that had received theirmeals, ate, and left before we got our food. We We did get it everything was cold, which is a shame since it tasted good.Overall I can't say I plan on returning so go at your own peril. Read more
The staff are awesome here and the food mostly great. We ordered to go and some of the food was a bit skimpy. Not enough gravy... with the chicken fried steak breakfast but my guy went back and they gladly doubled it up. The blueberry pancakes wereundercooked and a bit mushy but had good flavor. We heated the up. The salad was delicious. The Turkey bacon ranch sandwich wasfantastic. We devoured the brownie sundae. Almost had a toss over it. Overall it was rather tasty and we enjoyed it. First time i tried this place was not impressed at all, decided to give it 2 more chances & each was a let down. If only... service/staff could've been a little nicer or more professional it would've been something ????. Update: Gave it another tryand it was a tad better.
