The only thing good was the name and the server. The drinks were not the best in Cape May. Our seats were next to another table... about an arms length away whilst the porch had 3 tables occupied. The server was really nice and attentive. The dirty martiniwas a little dirty. I had the bees knees which had a strong lemon flavor and a not so clean lemon twist in it. The turkeysandwich was average. It was a little dry despite the sauce and cheese on it. The penne vodka with added chicken wasunderwhelming. Very average tasting sauce with a little bit of chicken on the plate. This place only got these many stars forthe server. Read more

The had a great beer/drink menu but the food was just ok. Got the crab cake sandwich for my entree and the patty itself... (although good in taste and favor) was really tiny compared to the bun it was on. More bread, lettuce and tomato than crab cake. The fries were great since they were made from fresh potatoes and little sea salt. Food did come out quick and the waitress wasvery friendly. Read more

Love this cute breakfast that I got! I ordered the egg and cheese bagel sandwich without bacon and home fries. The sandwich was... delicious and super filling. Definitely worth going there for breakfast with your significant other or family. My boyfriendloved it as well. I sat outside, it was basically half inside half outside seating area, so you weren’t directly in the sunand had fans running up above. I definitely need to go there more often now, and it was priced nicely too! Go out to the MadBatter and get yourself a nice breakfast for the day! Read more

Loved it!!! Drinks, food & service, all great!! We got seated quicker then the 20 minute wit we were told which is always nice.... I ordered the Thick Sliced Orange & Almond French Toast with a side of Home Fries. The flavors of the french toast werefantastic - unlike any other french toast i've had. It didn't bother me but it is definitely not thick sliced as shown in thephoto but still filling. The home fries (which I take my breakfast potatoes seriously lol) were amazing - seasoned very nicelyand a good portion size. I also ordered a mimosa which was very good for the price. Would love to return if I can! Read more

Lively and busy but worth the wait. We enjoyed a midweek breakfast in June. We got there shortly after 9 and there was already... a short wait. On our way out though, it seemed like the block was filled with groups / families waiting around to get a seat. After our meal I can definitely see why that is the case. Service was fast and friendly. There is a laid-back relaxing feel toit and the decor gives the place it's charm. Kids are welcome, definitely a family-oriented spot. Having a little one, Iappreciated that the bathrooms are private. All these pros and I haven't even mentioned the food which was delightful. Tastypancakes ???? ???? ! Great bacon ???? ???? ! Yummy eggs ????! Plenty of options. A must visit when in the area. Read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Cape May. Had a recent opportunity to visit and brought my daughter and friend along to have a... lunch at the Mad Batter. Everyone enjoyed their meal and loved sitting out on the screened porch. The restaurant is located on aquaint side street. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff was very friendly and efficient. My favorite go-too is the Waldorfchicken salad on a croissant with a side of fresh fruit. It never disappoints. They accommodated my daughter by making a Waldorfchicken salad wrap. My other friend had a vegan burger and said it was very good. We had no wait the day we arrived, however, Iknow that in the high summer season that is not necessarily the case. Live music is available on different days and times. Ihighly recommend this restaurant. Read more

The Mad Batter is worth a visit. Their food is always great & my husband and I especially love the Seafood Risotto. Lots of... shrimp, scallops & lobster and the risotto in cream sauce is excellent. We had this dish during our visit 2 years ago & had tocome back for it. Breakfast is also terrific. The service is wonderful. Very friendly servers & they are quick. We highlyrecommend! Read more

All the hype, all the reviews and the long waiting line is genuinely on point. This is by far a must visit when in Cape May,... NJ. This morning’s breakfast blew my mind and no words can describe how good it was. We decided to order several differentdishes in order for each to sample but I honestly can’t differ which one was better, each was incredibly fresh and flavorful. It’s too bad I live 200 miles away lol or I’d be here all the time. I can say with all honesty, this is top 3 breakfastI’ve ever had and I’ve been to a great number. From host to server, everyone was super pleasant, attentive andknowledgeable. Great job Mad Batter and keep up the great work. Read more
