We sat outside, a family of five with kids ages 4, 6, & 14. This place was perfectly suited for us. Hunter (I believe) was our... waiter and he was very courteous and checked on us frequently. The portions were a good value for the price and the food cameout promptly given how busy the restaurant was for July 27 in prime summer season. Well done crew and we'll be back! Read more
I?m going to say it ? I think I?ve had the best burger I?ve ever tasted. The Maryland Burger is a juicy burger, topped with... crab, cheese (I went with sharp cheddar) and Lettuce, Tomato Onion. Just amazing. The family ordered the crab cake sandwich,pepperoni pizza and chicken fingers. Side of sweet potato fries was a great add on too. The buffalo wings were delicious. Good food, fast and attentive service, nice location. It was Friday evening in summer with no reservation. Went up to ask for... table for 5 people with no reservation. Was told 15 minutes wait, only was really about 5. The hostess even walked down thebusy area outside to find me and tell me the table was ready. Food came out hot and delicious. I would say the wings and crbcake was our favorites. Kids menu seems OK, shrimp and fries was $11 yet only 3 shrimps. Pizza is massive but taste wasaverage. Server was very attentive and friendly! Only giving this two stars because the folks at the bar seemed to be having fun. Bland sandwiches, tasteless pizza, terrible... service. The bathrooms, both genders, were disgusting (not Trainspotting disgusting, just really gross). So many other choices -this shouldn't be yours. Read more
The Ugly Mug is an icon on Cape May's Washington Street Mall. They do seafood very well. I always get their sauteed scallops... when we're visiting Cape May. They were delicious and awesomely prepared as always. But it's obvious the post-covid inflationhas hit Cape May. For the 2 of us, one cocktail, 2 entrees and 2 small desserts, the bill came to just under $100! If this werethe Blue Pig or Oyster Bay, we'd expect that, but not a casual tavern. Service was great, and so was the food. One of the better lobster rolls I have had in Cape May over the years... a great... environment to sit and have a meal and enjoy some time on the mall. We will definitely be back. Read more
We had a group of 7 people (didnt get all the pics of everyones food), we had lunch here after bootcamp graduation. Fast service... for our large group. In the first pic is the fried scallops. I had them and thought they were average, I would recommend gettingthem broiled instead. Fried calamari was good. Place was very busy on a Friday afternoon, but we were seated right away.Overall, a good experience and prices were good. Read more
