My husband and I were cruzin? though Capitola on our bikes and needed a bite to enjoy beachside before heading onward. Mijo?s... did not disappoint! Highly recommend getting their tacos. We really enjoyed the Baja fish, mushroom and chipotle chicken tacos(so much so that I almost didn?t get a picture of them in time!). FRESH & DELICIOUS!! My wife & I were visiting Capitola for the first time & dreaming of an affordable, delicious meal to enjoy... during what was shaping up to be a gorgeous beach sunset. We found Mijo?s on Google & saw the excellent reviews. It wasperfect! Just a few steps away from the beach and the decor was very pleasant. As we stepped up to order takeout, the chef wasexcited to serve us and gave some helpful suggestions. I got the shrimp burrito & my wife got 2/5 tacos. We also had somefresh-made chips, salsa and fresh-made guacamole. Oh, and their salsa options are incredible! The workers were incredibly nice and made the experience, in addition to the food. The guacamole is $6 (decent portion) which... you can order for the burrito or tacos and get chips and salsa included with it. 2 tacos for $5 were pretty good, I personallylike a little more seasoning but the different hot sauces made up for the lack of spice on the meat. First time eating here. The specialty tacos were quite good, and actually branch out into more interesting regional flavors than... the standards. A bit pricey for the size but given the location not surprising. Will definitely be back. Read more
Awesome little Mexican style restaurant! The Mijo's burrito is pretty cheap and very filling and tasty. It is actually much less... spicey than they advertise - but adding some medium salsa gives it that kick I wanted. Read more
Yummy taco shop just a short walk away from the beach. Chips were crunchy, salsa was tasty and the street tacos were yummy as... well. Staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions we had about the food in the area. If I ever come back to the area,I'll stop by again for more food options on the menu. Read more
We first tried Mijo's because we were looking to have a taco bar for 95 people at our wedding's welcome party. We absolutely... loved what we tried, so we booked them right away! The fish tacos in particular were a standout. The catering was flawless- ontime, delicious, lots of options. The staff was so friendly. Our guests raved about the food all night. To quote one of them,"they had all the toppings I could ask for, and then some more!" We will definitely be back anytime we are in the area! Read more
