From the host to our waiter, they were friendly enough. I ordered the ribeye because our waiter said it's popular. My husband... ordered porterhouse. My ribeye was rare. I asked for medium well. I'll order medium rare if I know the restaurant. This ismy first time at Flame. So the waiter took it back to nuke it. 15 minutes later and my husband is half done with hus 35 izporterhouse. He returned my ribeye. It was medium rare. At this point, I'm upset. I don't want it nuke the third time. Thetasteless gravy they put on tip is now dried up. I've eaten ribeye at Texas Roadhouse and that was better. My husband's $75porterhouse is raw in the middle. Our total with stuffed mushrooms, 2 water, a porterhouse was $96 this does not include tipyet. What a joke. I ended up going to Popeyes across the street cause I gave my ribye back to them. Read more
Amazing food! Our table had the lobster Mac and cheese, NY strip, bone in chop, burger and we split the pretzel! Everything... was cooked perfectly and tasted great, service was great as well! Every bite was tasty. Enjoyed every moment and would go again. Unpretentious, delicious, and a little bit reimagined (but not... too much) food. It's standard steakhouse fare but everything is a little bit special and different. I'm used to bisque, but notmushroom. I'm used to salad but not a perfect paleo salad. I'm used to lobster dip but not seasoned like this. I could say thisabout every single dish. We were in town to get certified to teach mountain biking level 1. The last night we decided to try this place. The menu sounded... great and they had wine! Let's break it down Atmosphere - very charming restaurant, clean and friendly. Service - our serverwas very helpful. She recommended the creamy seafood pasta dish I got and it was ????. She was quick to refill our drinks andalways had a smile. Cost - entrées were reasonably priced Food - everything was so so good! my seafood pasta was delicious!Tom got a burger (typical!) and he said it was cooked perfectly and very good. Decent steak restaurant in Carbondale Illinois. Their mushroom soup was exceptional. The steak (8 oz filet) was well cooked... but had too much pepper on it. The bread rolls were warm but didn't seem to be freshly baked. The fried bread pudding with icecream was good and the preparation of being fried was interesting but turned out well. Read more
