It?s not often that I write reviews of places but the experience I just had needs to be shared ?and shared again. Until... tonight, I had never eaten in Chimchurri Chicken in Carle Place but it came super highly recommended by someone who knows goodrestaurants. Unfortunately, my experience was not positive and was perhaps the rudest restaurant experience I?ve ever had in mylife. I entered the restaurant before 8:30 pm, pondered what to order for a few minutes and then ordered. My food was ready inabout six or seven minutes, which was fine. I sat down and began to eat and about ten minutes later, when I was nearly halffinished with my meal, someone came over and told me the restaurant was closing and that I had to leave?RIGHT NOW! A littlebefuddled and dumbfounded, I couldn?t believe my ears, as I was in the middle of finishing my meal. And then another personcame over and said they were closing and that I had to leave NOW. ?We have rules, you know,? the man said to me. Stilldumbfounded, I asked whether I could finish as it was very clear the kitchen staff had a ways to go before they were finishedcleaning the kitchen. NO was the answer?I had to leave RIGHT NOW! The food was decent but the entire experience wasunnecessarily horrific because of the rude way in which I was kicked out of the restaurant well before I was finished with mymeal. Another thing that isn?t clear is about the chicken wings, which are ordered by quantity (8, 10, 14, etc.), and are saidto be cut in half. I thought this means one would get, for example, eight wings or 16 pieces (eight sets of two halves), butthis is not the case. I will not leave a bad review because I would say 7/10 of my experiences are excellent and sometimes they fall short(could be... the staff that day/shift). We're visiting from out of town & just had our first Chimichurri Charcoal Chicken. Sounds like a mouthful & it is!!! I think... this is the best tasting chicken I've ever tasted. Seriously! I do my own Rotisserie Chicken on the grill all the time & thisblows my own homemade away! Their marinade is outstanding with just the right amount of heat. They have a lot of side choices -try the Sweet Potato wedges, they're awesome! I only have one regret: we're not going to be here long enough to try their wholemenu.
