I ordered a greek pizza which have meat in it. They brought me a Pizza which had bread cheese and olive!!! When I asked them... where is the meat in it, it turned out that the chef forgot to put the meat!!! While in any restaurant they do whatever tocorrect their mistake and make you happy, they told me that they give me 15% discount on the pizza!!! At the end I had tobargain about the price which was ridiculous!! Very poor customer service! Not recommended at all! Read more
I had the country pizza. It was really good. A friend had a poutine which I would not recommend. The server was very friendly... but easily confused. She brought the wrong pizza and we had to wait an extra 20 min. But at least itbwasbgood so I'd go back. Read more
Terrible since new owners , ordered a pizza at 11:50, was told it would arrive within 30-45, an hour later I called to ask where... it was, was told it was burnt and a new one was made and already on it's way, 20 minutes later a co worker called asking whereit was and was told it left a long time ago, when the pizza arrived the driver gave it to us for free, unfortunately free wasntenough as the pizza was missing half of the toppings and severely undercooked. We found this place via Google maps & decided to give it a try. The few reviews I read seemed positive and as we were entering... the restaurant, I asked a lady who was just leaving about the food, and she said, "It's excellent... best place around for goodfood." It definitely wasn't busy, however we were there around 7:30 on a Thursday evening. The server was very friendly &accommodating, and didn't rush us at all. Hubby & I each decided from the large list of "special meals," which were $13.95 each;this included our choice of soup, meal + rice pudding for dessert. I chose mushroom soup & wings, hubby chose tomato vegetablesoup fish & chips. The soups looked homemade, but unfortunately, I couldn't eat mine because there were onions in it... who putsonions in mushroom soup?? I thought I was safe ordering that (I get a severe gastric reaction after eating onions ????), howeverthe server quickly offered that I could have tomato juice instead. Our meals were tasty -- too many wings for me, so I sharedwith hubby. And the fries were perfect! Nice & crispy ???? Ladies room was clean, but seemed a bit dated & dingy. Read more
Great little spot here. Came with some family while down from Toronto. Cozy spot with a great small town atmosphere. Food... (breakfast) was awesome, One of us had overcooked eggs but that was quickly remedied with new eggs. Service was quick, politeand overall a great experience. Recommended. Read more
I frequently eat at The Eating Place in Carleton Place. My two favourites are the pizza( feta, hot peppers, and pepperoni) and... the chef burger. The burger is to die for if you?re eating in, and the pizza is great for a family meal. Would definitelyrecommend this restaurant for a dine in or take out/delivery experience in the Carleton Place and surrounding area. Also theowner is very friendly and is more than willing to talk and deal with each customer individually. Read more
I tried The Eating Place for the first time for a takeout pizza, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is very plain... inside, but clean. It was busy for being close to 7 pm, pizza was good, dough was fresh, good amount of toppings. Price wasreally good because it was a pickup special. Read more
I used to love the Eatting Place, the pizza was really good and great price but it has recently changed owners and I'm not... impressed, the last time (a few weeks ago) I order a lrg pepperoni pizza, decided to pick it up in delivery would have takentwice as long. I was told it would be ready in 30 mins, I got to the resteraunt and waited another 30 MINUTES for my pizza!!! IfI wanted to wait an hour for a freaking pizza I would have made it myself at home. I have heard and seen posts from others whohave also stopped ordering or going to this resteraunt bc it has gone downhill lately. Read more
