There is so much to love about the Good Food Company! First, and most importantly, the people who work there are kind,... attentive, customer-focused, and know how to make a great cuppa coffee! Next, the food; I'm a creature of habit and usually gofor a savoury scone with my coffee. The scones have just the right amount of satisfying "crunch" on the outside, followedimmediately by the tender, fresh, warmth of the perfectly seasoned inner goodness. The coffee, always spot-on.The other day, myeyes were drawn to these carrot-cake muffins with Chai spiced icing. I fully intended to take this treat home, really, I did.Then, I asked if they had any forks to go. After I left the GF Co and turned right to go to my car, a park bench called out tome. I sat there with my carrot-cake muffin in the clear take-away container. I swear it spoke to me...then, taking just theright amount of time to savour the experience, I no longer had a carrot-cake muffin to take home. Truly, the consistent goodnessof their food products cannot be overstated. Lastly, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. You can purchase products from otherwonderful local businesses while inside. Then sit to enjoy your meal or snack on their patio or at a cute table for two in thecozy courtyard-like alleyway beside the building. Stopped by on our way to Ottawa for a late breakfast and coffee. Had the breakfast poutine which was to die for. Amazing food... and good prices. Very nice staff. They have booze from local breweries and distilleries....though it was too early toindulge. Check it out if you're in the area! Read more
