Consistently awesome food and service. They have the best onion rings around! Cavatelli with Diablo sauce is delicious, as is... all their entrees. Well worth the short drive from Des Moines. Read more

The food was great and so was the service. The house parmesan dressing was awesome! I had the stuffed chicken and my husband had... the Cajun pasta. They were both great. Read more

Went here Valentine's Friday and made reservations for 4:30 a week ahead of time. Had the onion strings, chicken gonnachi,... chicken vodka creme penne, salads with house made dressings, a house cabernet, a vodka diet, chocolate covered strawberry cheesecake and brown butter cake. All were very solid items. Salad was super fresh and perfect in every way with all veggies accountedfor. The gonnachi was a bit salty however, the blending was perfect. The vodka creme penne was spot on. I would come here again.Cabernet is one I stock in my cellar and was very good with both main dishes. Very rich and decadent meal!!! The owner Jamesasked us about our experience and was attentive to both us and staff. Generous pours on house wine and great happy hourspecials. Worth the drive!!! Read more

Very busy inside on a Friday night which is a good sign. We shared the Mama's alfredo with chicken. Had a great, smooth flavor.... Salad with creamy parmesan dressing was ok. Chocolate cake was good. Service was a little slow but not bad. The waitress wasreally friendly and gave us whatever we asked. We will eat there again. Read more

In the winter, there are times I don't feel fresh air for a week at a time and I get a little nutty. So, the mister knows he... needs to show me the outside world every so often before I drive him up a wall. So, tonight was date night. With a Jamaicatrip coming, I've been focused on my beach body. So, tonight was my cheat meal for the week. And, I was ready to throw downsome pasta. What I did not prepare for was what was to come after the entree... If you haven't taken the short drive to Coco &Nini's, you need to make it your top resolution of 2022. Homemade onion rings, chicken Diablo, and chicken Alfredo. You can'tgo wrong and the pictures speak for themselves. Now, the brown butter cake is a must-try. It melts in your mouth and makes yourealize what happiness tastes like. But, guys. The cheesecake of the week (Cha Cha's) was Dutch Letter. I can't recallmeeting a slice of cheesecake I was unwilling to take to bed. This one? I'd make breakfast in the morning and line up the nextdate before departing. Cha-cha-ching. Long story short: for great food, friendly service, a cool atmosphere, and dessert thatwill bring happy tears to your eyes...Coco & Nini's is your spot. Now, I face the reality that tomorrow as I eat my fresh fruitand vegetables, that I'm going to be debating if a semi-nutritious life is worth living without a slice of that cheesecake atevery meal. Excellent!! They're not just another Italian restaurant. Their menu has mini subtle things that set them apart from your average... Italian restaurant. Be sure to leave room for dessert. I recommend the brown butter cake with ice cream and caramel andraspberry drizzle. If you don't have room for dessert, take some to go. If I had to choose something to complain about it wouldbe that the onion rings could have used some more shaking off of the grease before plating. Read more
