We had an Army War College special event there last evening. Desperate Times Brewery, opened just for us. We had 42 RSVP but 65... people showed up! The two servers and kitchen staff did not miss a beat and were able to work above and beyond! Terrific beer,food, and service even under stressful circumstances. I went here for the first time the other day in the late afternoon before trivia started. This was a good time to visit if you... like to go when the brewery is less busy. The beers were great. The bartender was friendly, helpful, and not pushy at all withtrying to sell me things I might not want. She even gave me a sample of a beer I was unsure of and I ended up ordering some ofthem to go. I plan on returning for more beers and to try the food (lots of great choices). Read more
We came upon this place on our road trip up to New England. What a gem! Great beer - the Black Forest Schwarzbier was a unique... and tasty dark brew. Also has a wide set of German-style food we didn't try, but the sandwich, beet salad, and enormous softpretzel were awesome! Finally, a friendly staff and even a dog-friendly patio! Read more
From the outside, it doesn't look like much. But looks are deceiving. Amazing German food selection and a world class, in house... brewed award winning beer selection. I tried 8 beers and could not detect any flaws in any of the beers. Wait staff was veryfriendly, and the outdoor seating area, that allows dogs, was a big bonus. Highly recommended. Read more
Desperate Times Brewery has an excellent variety of brews that include IPA?s, Pilsners, Ales, and many dark brews. Tasting... samplers available. Especially loved the Oatmeal Stout. The dining menu is diverse with many great choices. Heavily leans toGerman and Irish themed. Kids menu if you wish to make it a family visit. Space is open and has an industrial decor but coulduse something to brighten it up. Walls are a bit bare. Nice outdoor seating area. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Read more
Staff was wonderful. Dog friendly patio a plus. They even brought her a bowl of water. The food was delicious and the beers were... great. A wide variety in the beer offerings was a huge plus for me as I am not am IPA drinker. When traveling through I wouldstop by again! Read more
Best Schwarzbier I?ve had outside Germany?Amber and Hefeweizen were tasty too. The meatball and pretzel appetizer were very... good?so was the Reuben. The pork from the nachos seemed a bit salty. The service and feel of the place were very welcoming!!We?ll definitely be back! Read more
The Cuban sandwich is excellent. They bring in bread from Ybor City to make it authentic. German food selections are excellent.... They change the cocktail menu from time to time. And, of course, they have a expansive offering of beers. Too bad I don't drinkbeer, but it's a chill place in the afternoons. Read more
