We came here during brunch time. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Unfortunately, the chicken was bland and it... did need more salt. The brioche bread got soggy from the coleslaw which also tasted bland. The fries were seasoned well but wereburnt. The waitress did bring us a brand new order of fries which tasted good. However their breakfast is good and they have adelicious chocolate chip cookie with macadamia nuts and coconut. I highly recommend. Read more
After seeing the amazing reviews my fiancé and I went here for breakfast a month or so back. We weren?t super impressed but the... food was decent. The main thing was both our meals were a little cold which was weird considering the food came out soquickly. We came back today to try again - when a place has such great reviews you wanna give them another try! This time wasjust as average but mainly because of the prices. He got a parfait for $9 which came in a tiny water glass. It was almost funnywatching him try to eat it. Let alone how funny the price was for such a small portion. In the picture you?ll see the parfaitnext to the water glass. I was also surprised after ordering a cappuccino at a normal-high price point that it was in a verysmall cup. All in all the only thing that truly made me write this review is how overpriced I found it for the portion sizes.The food was decent. Sadly we won?t be back but if you don?t mind spending more on a breakfast then I?d recommended at leastgiving it a try. Side note: cinnamon bun is excellent. Read more

What a great place for brunch. This is the second time we?ve tried this place and both times we waited for a little bit in a... fairly fast moving line to place our order at the counter. Once we placed our order we found an open table. They have a decentamount of both indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn?t long before our food was delivered to our table piping hot. The food isoutstanding. The eggs, toast, hash browns and the star on the plate, the country fried steak were all so, so good! We highlyrecommend this quaint little spot. Read more
We were looking up great breakfast places in Carlsbad and this little corner restaurant came up. Topes has a walk up order... counter but don?t let that discourage you from trying it! Food is really good and fresh and the coffee drinks are beautiful andtasty. It gets pretty busy on weekends and there is limited indoor seating as well as outdoor. They do being the food to thetable and they have beer for those wanting a little cheer with their breakfast! Read more
Love this place for breakfast/ brunch! Their chilaquiles are one of my favorites along with the blueberry lemon ricotta... pancakes. If you are a hungry meat lover then get anything with the Cardiff crack. Amazing specialty drinks like rose whitemocha are a real treat. You stand in line to order, get your number and grab a seat inside or outside Street parking available. Read more
