This is a legit Ramen-ya! Their noodles are great, rich tonkotsu broth and excellent service. We stopped in after a long day at... Legoland with 2 young kids & 2 teenagers...all of whom were STARVING! You place your order at the counter and the food will bebrought out to your table. There was a short line and one of the servers asked if anyone wanted a beer while they waited. Myhusband happily ordered one which made the short wait seem even shorter. The ramen came out quickly and was so good. We got aGonzo Black (tonkotsu with black garlic oil) with extra broth and extra noodles, 2 Gonzo Red (spicy miso) and a tonkotsu ramen.Everyone loved their order.... Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the black because my husband and son couldn't wait to starteating! There was parking right in front and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Read more
gonzo ramen is a good place to grab a nice, tasty, good quality bowl of ramen. their sushi is also amazing! (and cost... efficient.) their interior decoration is also extremely creative and appealing to the eyes. 10/10 from me. Read more
Quick, friendly, fresh, and TASTY! It's a must-stop when we are near Carlsbad. We got the Gonzo Red with Tofu, and was so... good, we got one to go! Clean, flavorful broth... and their Gonzo Chlil Oil is AMAZING! Ask them to throw in a few extra...you'll be thankful you did???????? Read more
Came here for my birthday due to the extremely high reviews and was not disappointed at all. The ramen was absolutely delicious... and came to the table very quickly. The owner was extremely extremely nice and provided a great experience. The atmosphere wasvery relaxing and they had Naruto and One Piece playing. The ramen I got was the GONZO Black flavor one. What a great treat after a long sunset stroll! I was freezing and the idea of a warm bowl of broth to close the night would be... perfection. Upon walking in, I was greeted warmly by staff, ordered the miso red and a large Sapporo. They were not kidding whenthey said it was a large beer! The ramen came out quite quickly and the broth was hearty with depth and full of flavor. Asidefrom the delicious meal, I have to say the highlight was the amazing team. From the friendly young lady who rung me in to thekind gentleman who kept checking in and offered to direct me to the restroom (located outside in the plaza). To close it off,the owner had approached me to check in on my meal and noted it was his lovely wife greeting customers and son who ran thekitchen - it was hands down such an endearing experience to feel so welcomed by genuinely kind people.
