I loved Green Dragon Tavern & Museum! The museum was wonderful and I learned a lot about the notable leaders of the... Revolutionary War. There were an impressive array of curated pictures and artifacts. The ambiance of the restaurant and museumis very classy, clean, open, and welcoming. I loved the food; there is a wide selection of menu items, with a lot of seafoodoptions that are reminiscent of cuisine in New England. The portions were just right, and the prices are very reasonable. Iwould highly recommend Green Dragon to anyone visiting Carlsbad! Read more

Don’t go by the name, Green Dragon Tavern & Museum is a restaurant with historic setting and an All-American style menu with... lots of elevated dining choices available. It’s inspired by the original Green Dragon Tavern in Boston where meetings leadingto the American Revolution took place, hence the name. What I tried from their menu - ???? Boneless Buffalo Tenders ???? BabyBeet Salad (my favorite) ???? Vegetarian Pizza ???? Seafood Mixed Grill Trio (another favorite) ???? Churro Sundae (yum!) ????Strawbasil Martini ???? Green Dragon This is also a great spot to hold weddings, corporate meetings, holiday celebrations andmore. Apart from this they also house a FREE admission museum with a private collection of documents and antiquities thatconnect to America’s heritage and history. So plan a day in Carlsbad and stop by at Green Dragon Tavern and Museum with kids, family or friends to experience a culinary delight and a little bit of America’s history. Read more

An awesome place to dine. I was pleasantly surprised because I had no idea what to expect. Due to covid the last two times I... visited they were not open. It's a wonderful restaurant with a casual menu located along with a civil war museum. We had achance to browse the museum shortly but would like to return. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was very hospitable Iwould say home like. I'm going to add to my review because I made my second visit today. It felt even more at home, but beyondthat I absolutely loved their lobster rolls. I had the Connecticut Lobster Roll which is served hot with drawn butter. I'm sorryI didn't take pictures. I was much too busy stuffing it in my face. It may be the best lobster roll I've ever had. I did howeveradd a few pictures of the dining hall. If you get any type of chance you should definitely check out this restaurant and museum. Read more

My husband ordered boneless spare ribs and it was amazing. I ordered Connecticut lobster roll and although it was tasty, it was... very dry. I don't think I'd order it again. My strawberry ???? basil martini was scrumptious and the service excellent. Funplace for a group. Read more

I’ve driven past this place so many times and finally got to stop by for lunch. Great drink menu and a standard New England... foods. Rueben was great and the garlic fries are fantastic. Highly enjoyed the chowdhar fries. The clam chowder had carrots init which was different to me but gave it a nice sweetness. Didn’t get to see much of the museum today but looked like quite abit of history throughout Read more
