We ate here while vacationing from out of state. Our waitress, Amber was very friendly, professional and efficient on a busy... evening. She also gave great recommendations since this was our 1st visit. The manager (Paige) greeted us and apologized for anydelays we experienced (which was very minor). Nonetheless, she comp'ed our appetizer. The place is clean, cool vibe anddelicious food! This price is right across the board. We'll visit again next time we're in town. Read more

I ordered curbside pickup. I intended to order sweet potato fries for my side but forgot to change it before I placed the order.... I called the restaurant and asked them to switch it. Excellent food & service today at Islands Restaurant, Carlsbad! My wife likes Islands Tropical Iced Tea, & I like the regular... iced tea, so we began with those. Our server, Kelly brought a small dish of extra orange slices for my better half. Shebrought enough to keep my partner supplied, through several refills of tea We ordered a basket of fries, to start with. Islands Fries are cooked perfectly, golden brown, nice & crisp. We'd forgotten to ask for Ranch dressing, so when thesebeauties were delivered to our table, our server asked if we'd like some Ranch with them. I nodded, & Kelly rushed back 4containers of their yummy white dressing, to our table. We ordered a Bleunami Burger, Lettuce-Wrapped, with Grilled Onionsinstead of the Red Onions that come with it. Our burger was cooked perfectly Medium-Well, just as we'd ordered it. The grilledonions were a great addition, & this burger also comes with a nice spread of chunky Bleu Cheese on it. On the plate as well,was a small container of Bleu Cheese dressing, so we could add as much as we liked, to make sure this Bleunami Burger was ridinga Tidal Wave of flavor, right into our mouths. Kelly provided us with awesome service the whole time we were here, gettingrefills for our teas, at least 3 times, each. I got a Caesar Salad with the Bleunami Burger, as we'd filled up on fries,earlier. Islands Caesar Salad Dressing is one of the better Caesar dressings I've tried. We ordered and enjoyed the island nachos, truffle fries, and fish tacos (both grilled and fried). All very delicious! Wait staff... was very attentive and the happy hour menu was fantastic with some good drinks! Words cannot describe the incredible service and kindness we just had. It was an hour before closing, they had a party of 45... show up and it was a 25-30 min wait. We explained we had a 4 yr olds birthday to celebrate, and only wanted a desert. They notonly accommodated us right away, but they went above and beyond making her experience and birthday so enjoyable. We were sograteful and had the perfect end to our day!
