One of the very few times I have experienced racism from the servers in the food industry. Very disappointed. We kept moving... forward and continued to enjoy our dinner because we weren?t going to let these 2 very ignorant men who served us that nightmake us feel less than assuming we couldn?t afford a steak dinner and suggested the ?cheaper cut ? , and when asked for moreketchup say you already have one . You always have a high bar set when you go to the Avivara but you need to raise it for Ponto Lago because this place is simply... incredible. I was only able to post a picture of my old fashioned because we ate the food too quickly to take photos. Udi, ourserver made sure everything was perfect and took care of us like we were royalty while suggesting good wine and foodrecommendations. If you?re an oyster fan you should be sure to try the Oyster Tour. Three tasty different flavored oyster bitesthat were so good we ordered it twice. For dinner my wife got the sea bass special that was cooked to perfection and woulddelight any fish lover out there. I tried the Manilla clams with scallops and they too were incredible. Served on a bed of ricewith root vegetables, it hit the spot perfectly. I almost forgot about the Ponto Taco?. This is a must try for anyone visiting.Sounds like it?s a rotation of different tacos based on chef favorites. I had a grilled chicken taco that will change your life.Get one or more of these. 11/10. So fricken good. The service was thoughtful, not rushed, and kind. The guy, Ted, knows his stuff; from food to liquor to life.... He paired and described everything perfectly. The taste of the food was unique and beautifully laid out. My favorites were theceviche tour, burnt cabbage, and distillery's tasting of tequila. And don't even forget the setting. Staff is very passionate about the meals they serve. Everything was so wonderful and beautiful. The scallops, hay flamed... mushrooms and harvest potatoes were a hit with our table. Honestly there wasn't anything that we didn't like. Great Job~! Read more
